no problem. thanks for the quick response. regarding the opera, it might make sense to drop flash if it is causing the crashes. we can always use skyfiire or the built in youtube app. Thanks

Skyfire sucks. ):

I can turn off Flash by default in the next release, but I won't release a ROM just for that, obviously. Feel free to turn it off yourself.

lol, i cant guarantee it because im a "rom jumper", but its looking like permanent "material"

few other good points about this rom to me personnally.
- no tflo garbage files cluttering up file system
- beam is set to OFF by default, (whys everyone else's rom still have this enabled?!!?)
- stylus pull out works properly
- large and small keyboard included, perfect
- all white top icons (i dont like it when people include old icons or 3rd party icons
- streaming media has a nice black skin, as opposed to the classic white
- 4 row program icons
- original task manager+htc task manager included. big plus, i dont like 3rd party task managers unless i install it myself.
- discrete htc startup logo, no "custom" splash screen, keeping it clean and simple.
- disabling of xt9 is proper given you uncheck the boxes, no hassling with registry, etc etc

the only problem ive had with 6.5 roms in general and i also had this last night..
the phone would lock up for no reason, then i hit reset, and the phone hard resets itself
either my flashing is taking a toll on my phone or theres something up with 6.5 in general.

Quite possibly a new version with the new Nikoan keyboard, Notifications Enhancement and Opera Mobile 9.5.16277 coming soon. I don't really see much else to change in it.

I agree, Frugal is just about perfect. I have been getting slightly less battery life, but that could just be the phone itself.

By far, though, Frugal is the best ROM I've used. I would like to see the notifcations updated for sure (one that shows battery and stuff).

Unless you can add some battery saving tweaks, Frugal = perfect (imo).

+1 I thought it was just me but battery life is the same or worse than usual. Maybe some battery tweaks in the next release?

Re: April 26th 2009 [Frugal F1.1-21028 | Edge E0.5-21501] ||| alRom

my phone froze up again, i reset, then the htc logo sat for about 10 minutes, then it went through the setup process.. apparently the phone hard reset itself again..

dunno whats going on, but im going back to stock sprint rom *gahh* until it gets sorted out or see if it continues to do it on the sprint rom.. then it might just be my phone dying.
