I never tried, but I loaded the OEM CDMA drivers on it, which are 3D accelerated.

I have been using Edge for three days now and have had no problems. It is fast and stable and has good battery life on my Telus HTC Touch Diamond.

I also did a straignt flash over a pretty loaded Groove ROM with no problems. I haven't done the song and dance around a flash for months and touch wood, have not had a single problem and don't see any remnants of the previous rom. In my mind a ROM is a ROM is a ROM so if it is OK to flash over a shipped ROM what's wrong with flashing over any other ROM.

I added Showaco's Titanium weather plugin and it completes an already great package. That's the great thing about light ROMS, you have room to add things.

I spoke too soon. My phone just froze and on a soft restart it froze on the WM 6.5 screen several times. I pulled the battery for 15 seconds and the phone did a sort of hard reset. There was no long period with the red letters indicating the phone is preparing for first use etc., but it booted directly to the Align Screen page then reinstalled all the customizations and restarted. I have flashed dozens of ROMS and never have I seen something like this, all the more curious since I have been using this ROM for three days with no problems.

Any ideas?

The same has happened to me a while back on another ROM, though it was 6.1. It's a variant of the hard reset issue. I still haven't found the exact cause, but it's something that happens occasionally to everyone, unfortunately.

I went ahead and give the Edge a try too. I must say it is very very nice. I tried a different 6.5 rom but I didn't like the change they made on the fonts.

I have tried most of the features on Edge 6.5 and the only thing I see that need attention is:

When I open a picture and turn the phone sideways(landscape) the picture shows in multiples(like about 8 little transparent ones), but when I turn the phone back upright...its back to normal.

I hope I explained that good....

Other than that...Great work. I think I will run it awhile.

Yeah, I know about that problem in Album. I can't fix it; we'll see if the guys at xda can. I wonder if it's a bug in this pre-release version, or if it's a byproduct of porting it to VGA.

In any case, the HTC Twin seems to be a promising source for updated software, as it's a VGA phone with Diamond/Pro 2 features. We'll have to wait for conflipper for details.

i'm using Frugal F1.1 and there's only one question: sms can display chinese characters ,but only the menus of some softwares can't display chinese characters . It seems the sys' menu replaced the software's original menu.The same thing happened at Mightly's 4.8(20771) Rom too,but Juicy's 4.4(20764? maybe) doesn't have this problem.I guess this is due to new sys?

EDIT:NOW i know,it's due to Rodhium Menu Enhancement.Any way to get rid of it ?

Using the Frugal rom. It's nice to be back on a stable, fast ROM with zero bugs.

The 6.5 and Rhodium ROMS were starting to weigh on me.

Loving the Frugal F1.1 too.
I was using Mikes 4.8 but my A-GPS did not seem to work in it. Now it works flawlessly. Getting a fix even in the basement... Wohoo!

Thanks for your great work. I'm saving a copy of F1.1 as a good "fallback" ROM even if I do play with other ROMS later on. Just miss the Rss Hub program. Is there anywhere that I can download the cab file for it?

Try going to HLKM\Software\HTC\HTCMenus and change FontFace to Tahoma, and then soft-reset. I didn't try it, but I think it'll work.

It's not as up-to-date as the one in the kitchen, but I don't think there's much difference. I'd prefer not to cook it in.
