Re: Are All ROMS Illegal according to Microsoft?

How can you purchase an upgrade of a mobile OS such as Windows Mobile (as the system stands now) anyway, without purchasing a new phone? Just curious...

Re: Are All ROMS Illegal according to Microsoft?

Dunno, seems silly these guys put beta OS and tweaks/fixes and help mature it ...

So no more 6.5? Figures I liked it...

Re: Are All ROMS Illegal according to Microsoft?

I think the issue is with 6.5,

As 6.1 is included with our phones we hold a license for it. Upgrading to a newer release of 6.1 i think is a non issue. Its when we upgrade to 6.5 that causes a problem.

Re: Are All ROMS Illegal according to Microsoft?

I dont believe you can just upgrade a phone to a newer os legally. Htc would have to decide whether that want to create a new 6.5 rom for the diamond phone. If they decided to do that I am sure they would have to pay Microsoft some amout of money.

Re: Are All ROMS Illegal according to Microsoft?

Please note that Android on the Diamond and Raphael is still in very primitive stages. You can run Android, but device drivers are not working properly or even not at all. Below you'll see what works and what doesn't.

Hmm that doesnt seem to be anywhere near what I mentioned.

Open Source Check
Works better than Winslow NO CHECK
You silly

Duh, because people can work on it. I'm trying to set up properly working colors myself.
