Re: ...RSTG Custom Rom -=- Rhodium_v1c v2.R.02 FuzeBerry II 3/24/09

So after playing around some more with this great rom, I found another little quirk. When you go into the contacts menu and press down with the D pad, once you get to the last person on the screen it won't go down any farther. If you press up once on the dpad and then down twice, it will let you go one further and you have to repeat the process. Not really a big bug or anything, just thought i'd mention it. Thanks again!

Re: ...RSTG Custom Rom -=- Rhodium_v1c v2.R.02 FuzeBerry II 3/24/09

Great ROM. Really fast and soooooooo friggen cool with the new Rhodium manila update.

Been running it a few days. Here are my error reports (only a few and nothing severe).

1.) Obviously the clock being off by 1 hour every time u soft-reset (I will try intx's quick fix today)
2.) The SIM card error when sending text messages (fixed by installing CDMA patch).
3.) I have had the phone freeze on me 3-4 times requiring a soft reset when hitting reply to a text message. This is either in the new manila contact page or in the text messaging menu.
4.) Battery life is pretty bad. I usually am able to have my phone keep a charge the entire day, but with this rom i get the warning that my battery is empty by night time.
5.) The voice announcements for new mail, txts, and connecting the phone to the PC are cool the first 1-2 times hearing it, but after that, everyone is like "shut it off".
6.) This is probably not a bug, but would rock if it could be fixed.. when u are in the new contact manager..and u are scrolling through people.. if u click the wrong person, and then hit back..it takes u back to the top of the list... which sucks.. if it could take u back to where u just were like the contact manager in Windows Mobile does, it would be great.

3 Questions.

1.) How do i replace the "action" menu to go back to "phone".
2.) How do u use In Call Recorder?
3.) I noticed that on text messages sent with a priority flag, would be read to me by my phone. Where can I control that functionality?

You can control the messages being read via Sounds & Notifications, I believe.

1. remove the VALUES of the following registry entries
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila]
"HomeLSKText"="Action"
"HomeLSKPath"="\\Windows\\HTCActionScreen.exe"
2. Is permanently broke pending a rebuild. I broke it somewhere trying software I turned into OEM from the general population. I must have deleted something important...
3. Turn it off in Startmenu-Personal-VoiceCommand. By default it will set to read your messages if you are free on the calendar and the message is set to high priority.

And to your general comments about the battery, it's tweaked. If you want better life, load a rom with no apps or get a clamshell. Sorry to be blunt like that, but you have to understand your device. And that's just the way we do it in the rstg mafia... A device which is basically a transceiver with a big backlit screen that is cool to play with will not get great battery life...But it is acceptable. I embrace other technology's (chargers) to get me through my day.

And for you other folks, update coming with....check post #2... by 9 o'clock...

Re: ...RSTG Custom Rom -=- Rhodium_v1c v2.R.02 FuzeBerry II 3/24/09

After flashing your rom i realized that when i go to Start>Settings>Personal>Phone there is no Mode of Operation setting in the small scroll box.

I want to turn off the Evdo and just run on 1x because I don't go on the internet that often and when I do its on Wifi.

So my question is that if there is no setting where there normally is how would I be able to change that setting to go only on 1x and not on Evdo? Is there a regedit I could use?

Code:
[HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting]
"HiddenModeOperationPage"=dword:1
Change the above to zero and it will make that available for you... And no need to reset, it's a program regedit.
