Ive been using chronic rom beta 4 for about 2 days now. It has been the most stable 6.5 rom I have used. I never liked manilla and hoped a more finger friendly core operating system was in the works. I am happy to say that this has been my favorite Rom yet...

I made certain to flash to stock then to chronic and I really feel as if it made a big difference. I enjoy the more finger friendly menus and the new lock screen. I havnt used titanium very much and have instead elected to use the more basic home screen. This is for 2 reasons. 1) I am able to lock the phone and use the native 6.5 slide to answer feature much easier with a soft key and 2)The "IE favorites" section of titanium is not customizable yet. (I am not yet a fan of the new mobile IE...)

Will the final edition of groove rom include a way to customize softkeys and menus in titanium? I would use titanium if that were the case...

What is "simTKUI"? Nothing happens when I touch that icon. Is it the configuration program for titanium? Im just guessing here.

Thanks to you and Chronic for making a great 6.5 rom. I am looking forward to your future builds.

I previously posted an issue about not being able to sync on groove4 rom to my windows live (hotmail) it redirects me to the helpmenu with s link to windowslive.com. I really enjoy being able to sync my email right to my email tab any fix for this?

-gmail works fine...hotmail not supported?

Still loving the chronic rom beta 4, however, I am running into a problem with opera 9.5. I downloaded it from the opera website. I could not get it to load so, I removed it, and re-installed. I got it to restart but I know its not acting right. There is a moment of fuzz before it actually loads... Is there a version of opera I should be using that is more compatible, or modified to best work with your rom?

I have had that issue too with multiple 6.5 ROM's. The way that seems to work best for me is to setup my hotmail account before any other email account. But I have also gotten it to work by going to Windows Live on the start menu and then I tell it to change accounts. I think its Menu > Account Options. (I had to do it a few times myself for it to finally work)

I wouldn't recommend using the beta version from the Opera site because it is not specifically made for the Diamond. Groove has posted on the first page a version of Opera that works great with his roms. Opera 15613 is the version. Look for this below on the first page and download the zip file. good luck

My ROMs don't include Opera, so that you can cab install your own personal version. I use the version in the zip file here, and it works great.

just an observation:
I installed windows live and everything slowed down. I uninstalled it. Afterwards the rom returned to its usual speedy self... Maybe Ill try google maps...

Something else I noticed today and I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing it. When I launch the camera, I don't see a live view. Just a black screen. It does take a photo if I click on the button... but yeah no live view. Anyone else? Or could this be tied to my no external speaker issue?
