Re: [03-17-2009] Juicy ROM 4.6 by JMZ (CE OS 5.2.21028 Build 21028)

Is the remote desktop application similar to a Vnc Server/Viewer program? .. Like do I connect to a VNC remote desktop host from my phone to control it?

Also, for paranoid people like myself. How is there a way I can rest assured that when setting up my email account in outlook, none of the custom software doesn't have backdoors that can give out my password , etc?

As far as your Remote Desktop connection, it works just like windows remote desktop. You put the ip address you want to connect to and you hit connect.

You obvious need to make sure you are on the same network using wifi, or open up a port in your router and have it direct Remote Desktop connections directly to the computer you want. (This can be dangerous)

There are tutorials all over the web if you need step-by-step instructions for this.

There are also wake-on-lan (WOL) applications for your phone that will actually turn on your computer remotely from anywhere (across the country) if you want to set it up like that.

Problem with Windows Live??

4.6 is not letting me sign in to my Windows Live account. I store all my contacts and email in my hotmail account and I can't connect. Anybody else?

EDIT: I replugged in to USB and chose ActiveSync and it just started working. Very strange ...first time I've had this behavior. Alls well hopefully.

Does this ROM have the freezing system issue found on other ROMs?

is the freezing problem (both SIP freeze and overall freezing) fixed? i love these roms but i text more than i call, and the freeze issues are unbearable..

if they're not fixed in this update and there are any hotfixes please let me know, i would greatly appreciate it.
