[03-17-2009] Juicy ROM 4.6 by JMZ (CE OS 5.2.21028 Build 21028)

does anyone know what happened to the MP3 trimmer app? In the release notes for 4.14 it is there, but when I flashed to 4.14.5 I don't see that app in the programs tab. Was it removed?

I'll try to make a compiled list of known bugs:
Using 1.4.5 JMZ Juicy:
1. Taking stylus out will not turn on the phone.
2. Video error in youtube, no videos are playable
3. When deleting a text message in TF3D (Menu, delete), an unusual description appears when asked to confirm deleting message. Message still deletes correctly however.
3. Tap on call history in Home screen, and the buttons do not visually appear properly, it looks like the TF3D tabs. They still work however.
4. New notification screen is not fully implemented I believe.
5. MP3 Trimmer is nowhere to be seen. Not really a big deal, I never use it.

What I would love to see:
1. New calendar tab from touch diamond 2.
2. New start menu replacing programs tab from touch diamond 2.

Anyways, I hope to have kind of give out the main bugs, I love this rom. Fast, fresh, juicy!

If you tap on it then close it, it should take you to the respective message tab. The reason it does it that way is because it is tied into the new manila.

Thanks. I am working on a new release but will not give a timeframe as it didn't work out to well when i did last time. The calendar tab will have to wait till xboxmod is done with the porting. I am still trying to get my hands on the new start menu. If you know of a rom that has it let me know.

couple of things

1. landscape manila does not work and looks like some kind of screen tilt is built into this ROM. it automatically tilts without using flipit/gyrator/changescreen.

2. down arrow "v" in the messages tab works like "refresh" but if you tap few mm below the down arrow it goes to the previous message.

Hi jimztaylor. I've changed the value of the registry to the value you supplied me this morning. I'm happy to report that the call dropping issue seems to be gone. I've made a few calls today and I haven't had any issue at all.

As for the image rotation issue in the album, that registry fix have fixed it!

In your next rom you should have this registry fix to solve those issues. I know it's not nice for other apps that could use nicely the g-sensor but an alternative app like flip-it or girator could be installed by the user to implement that feature without introdicing those two bugs.

Or I don't know if it's possible but modify the dialer app and touchflo3d to explicitely refuse any input from the g-sensor could let you use the g-sensor for other applications without installing a third-party app.

the problem i had with the music tab was fixed by deleting the folder containg podcasts. Just if anyone has problems with their music tab. now if the youtube ap can be fixed...

I am loving it so far but the compact qwerty is from the original diamond is entirely missing and thats what I use the most because of my big fingers.

I can't go back to mightyrom cause that is so buggy right now its ridiculous. I can't even send a text message without some freeze.

the diamond gsensor option is sweet, but you have to figure out a way to get the phone pad, and recieving phone calls to ignore this setting. It screws up the phone, on incoming calls, and ending calls. But you have to keep it in the rom, it is such a nice feature.... Somehow just need to fix the pesky phone pad
