yup, go to Start > Settings > System > Clear Storage .. choose Clear Storage Only and follow the instructions.

then report back.

I'm still on 4.5.5 so Im curious to see if this is an actual issue for 4.6 because I also use the power button a lot

I can say I have been using this all day and using the power button about 50 times today, it has never once reset itself.

I just did a hard reset the hard way (what the hell htc), waiting for it to come back to life now. I'll report back in a bit if the problem seems resolved.

Whats the difference for Juggalos manilla?
I liked the 5 day weather all on one page. Any chance of moving to that one manilla, i forget what its called... rhodium or something?

I didn't see yours until it was too late. Anyway, the manual hard reset is an amazing test of skill and coordination.

Edit: I just restored my contacts and I still don't see the new HD People tab. Am I looking in the wrong place?

The manual hard reset (using stylus, PWR, etc) is also likely to NOT fix the issue.
I have found that the Clear Storage method is much more reliable for fixing errors/glitches like this.

You will probably find this out yourself if you haven't already...

Okay, went back and did clear storage. Still not seeing the HD People tab (or maybe I'm thinking it's something different), but I haven't had any random resets yet either. Slowly reinstalling applications in case one of them was what caused the problem to crop up to begin with.

The HD People tab allows extra buttons for your contacts underneath the picture. I.E. phone number, cell number, email, text. so forth

Okay, I was mistaking it for something else. Sorry for the confusion!

No random resets yet.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but after installing ROM, I cannot open a .zip file. Is there no unzip utility included in the ROM? Thanks.

Installed, my initial thoughts:

- Phone rebooted on first incoming phone call (first ring)
- Music player 'Library' missing headings for 'Now Playing', 'Artists', etc at the top
- Slider seems to be not solid at the bottom

Enjoying the new Diamond 2 bits. Signal seems a bit stronger strangely enough.

Okay, I mostly seem to be back up and running, but I can't seem to get Opera Mini to install. I installed Esmertec Jbed 20081203.2.1.cab for java, but when I try to install Opera Mini it just hangs at the empty progress bar (I get the digital signature stuff).

No more random resets so far, so that's good.

After using this all day the only complaint I could possibly have is that the ram usage is higher than before. But it still runs great. Nice release, thanks.

open up pocket rar and the first thing it will do is ask you to associate rars and zips to the program. After that every zip or rar you click on will open automatically. Pocket rar is located in programs!

Anybody else having issues with data. I cant get my weather to update or it takes a while to update same is happening with Opera when you type in a website either it wont connect or it takes a while to connect. No issues with IE or active sync so far. I tried doing a hard reset and its still the same.

Thanks

-Most tab icons are not properly aligned (Placed too low)
-Music Library has graphic errors
-Internet data does not work (it works now, started working after random reset)
-Comm Manager, Profile is really pointless to have..Settings has them both.. (Why add unnecessary tabs?)
-Freezing issues
-I also encountered first random reset.

I always hard reset my device after flash as well..

My internet works just fine and I haven't noticed any freezing issues yet. Just use a program like tf3d config and remove whatever tabs you want.

The reason why I enjoyed Juicy roms was the fact that they were very clean and simple with only the latest updates installed. Having to see these additional things is rather displeasing.

It takes 5 seconds to remove them with tf3d config. Then you don't have to see them any more.

Same problem here. Works now and again for checking weather but Google Maps/Facebook/Opera only work once in a blue moon.

Yes I know that it takes "5 seconds" to remove them. But can jmz at least provide some reasonable explanation why we would want to go through this procedure to remove them or is there some "actual" basis for having these extra tabs, when both options can easily be accessed through settings tab? Just voicing out..I'm not trying to go on a hate run- jmz is spending a lot of time to make things happen. I just want to voice out.

I personally remove the settings tab and the profile tab. I only use the comm manager tab. Having it cuts down on the amount of screen taps I have to make to enable wifi.

Hi, here instructions to properly install opera mini, I use the same version you do so it should work well. Good luck.

1.first download and install the java vm cab (to internal storage to save some space)
2. next go to mini.opera.com using pie on your phone.
3. on this screen, select the link that say this: "If this version fails to install or you would like to install a previous version. please click here"
4. next, select the 1st opera mini 4.2 link "English USA Multiple certificates.
5. your java vm will open up now and take over installation. just agree to the requests, and permissions. when you reach the net permission screen, select the first one always giving permission. this eliminates it asking you over and over for network access.
6. once it fires up, select accept, then menu and set up your options as discussed above for larger fonts and better pictures resolution.

I can confirm that music library is messed up. but it's probably just a manila issue.

However, internet works (facebook, youtube, and weather update works too) and have yet to encounter any freezing.

I wouldn't go that far. Some people like the additions and some don't. If your one of the people who don't, just remove the tabs. Or use another ROM

Well with the new notification manager, it isn't possible to get to the comm manager and sounds from the titlebar anymore. So I put those 2 little tabs in there to add to simplicity. Just slide, change, and go back to what you were doing. But this won't be an issue when TF3D 2 comes out. But only if it is 99% stable will I include it.

Many people have tried, myself included, but it just ain't happening. It is something with the manila.exe file. Stocks tab requires the new one.
