Phone trying to dial sprint, but cricket wap

can someone help me please? I flashed to MightyRom 4.4.3 and my connection settings are all set up for cricket but I keep getting an error :67 that my username/ password are incorrect for pcs vision??? I don't know why the phone is trying to connect with pcs. I used dcd cricket carrier cab, manually edited prl, changed name on nam from SPCS to cricket, what am I missing?

Did you actually go into EPST and change your settings to Cricket?

NAM name has nothing to do with it btw.

Re: Phone trying to dial sprint, but cricket wap

well I guess I haven't actually changed the settings since it's trying to dial sprint. like I said I went into ##778# and uploaded a cricket evdo prl. i installed dcd cricket carrier cab and have connection settings for cricket. I may be a little lost. If you could help me get these settings together so WAP and MMS work I would pay you. My email is Jonh2002@yahoo.com . I really appreciate you responding to my plea by the way.

thanks again,
Jon

You have to disable HTC Guardian or Sprint setting will continue to override your Cricket ones. Use Total Commander, find the two Guardian files in windows press edit, erase whatever is there and write something else like 'dummy file'. close out and you should never have that problem again.

I don't think any of the ROMs include Guardian anymore, but I may be mistaken.

I used Total Commander to try to find HTC Guardian but no luck, any other Idea why the phone would be attempting to dial sprint?

Re: Phone trying to dial sprint, but cricket wap

Ok so I figured out that the NAI was a sprint email address, I erased that and left it blank and it seems to no longer be trying to contact sprint but i still get "cannot connect for unknown reason" which used to accompany the error 67, but I just figured that was all one problem, now I'm really confused...

Re: Phone trying to dial sprint, but cricket wap

I don't know if I can do this but I was using the touch 6900 on cricket with data working properly, no evdo, but a cellular connection anyway. Can I use all of the epst settings from the vogue on the diamond (with the obvious exception of ESN)?

Re: Phone trying to dial sprint, but cricket wap

lol... you deleted the settings that connect your phone, and now it can't connect? I'm truely shocked.

But really, use the settings from your vogue, but with the proper phone number and you should be fine.
