Re: When will it end?

Flashing is the coolest thing about our phones.

You keep the same phone but eveyweek you get new options, upgrades and features.
All the things I hated about my Diamond are fixed.
I found a solution for everything!
Except the TV-Out function… (That would be awesome)

While an Iphone user can’t use flash, my Opera now works with flash content….
While an Iphone user pays for every peace of software, I get tons of new freeware every week…
While Iphone users will spend 500$ for the Iphone 2 to use new features… I just Flash my Diamond and got the Manilla HD from the new HTC Touch HD..
I love my Diamond...

Re: When will it end?

I for one, am very happy that I have the option to upgrade my phone; and make it better from week to week. The Carrier give up a crappy product to start with, you might get an upgrade once, maybe twice a year, and it doesn't really do much.

I say keep them coming, I'll keep flashing, I have plenty of

My thing is how many times will I have to redo all my settings for a new rom and how many times will you?

I cant even believe you would even say that...You could stay on 1.1 or stock version all we care. We like the latest versions and OS tweaks. And yea 10 min to reload your apps and type in user and password is valuable time but well worth it...I don't use UC, you cant fit much on the internal memory in ways, so lets just say 10 programs you have to install...Is it really worth complaining over someone who sits at home/work and try to make your phone better. Try a samsung instinct, you want have to flash at all, just wait until its time to buy a new phone and then you will have a updated phone.

Re: When will it end?

I came to ask myself that same question. After the last Diamond that failed on me (3rd one), I decided I was done with the rat race. Jumping from one rom to the next only to find some other new problem when all along the stock rom on this phone was really not that bad. I remember on my Mogul the stock rom was not even close to DCD's work. But the Diamond stock Sprint rom is actually the most stable rom I've had. Not as fast as some of the custom stuff, I know, but still not too shabby. What I have mentioned before is I wish more developers would get crackin on some nice custom UI's instead of cooking roms.

I don't think it's the building roms that's killing you... it's the building roms for other people. :P
