Question About The Rom Radio
 

Im New to this PPCG community, although ive been Upgrading my Titan at Xda for about a year. I just bought a Sprint CDMA Touch Diamond from a friend, and gave up using XDA because lack of CDMA info. I have succesfully flashed to
C4RBON.Kitchen v5 with latest mod, thanks only to PPCG.

I just bought the phone last night. Its not hooked up through sprint yet.(still using TITAN) at the moment.

So the questions.

Is stock Radio compatible with the kitchen?
Can I Put Touch Pro Radios in it?
Can I Put A different carrier Radio in it? (Like a Tellus Radio)
Should I just wait to flash radio till its hooked up with Sprint?

I was unsuccessful at locating radios, using google search in and out of this website, but i did find alot of radios for the touch pro](*,)

yes you can i have had the verizon and telus and sprint touch pro radio on my sprint diamond
Should I just wait to flash radio till its hooked up with Sprint?
don't really think it make a difference what radio you start off with

Best to wait until activated, then reflash the latest Sprint rom. Unlock, and you're good to go with new radio and new custom rom of your choice. Welcome...

I already unlocked, cooked a rom, and installed. It is still not activated through Sprint.
I have not installed a radio yet pending your guys response:).

So the new questions would be, should i go back relock, (spl 0.57.0000) and install latest sprint rom?

If I should back date it, is it SPL first then sprint rom or is it the other way around?

Sorry about noob questions, but with the titan, u had the option to use Micro SD to fix any flash problems. just makes me worry. New to the diamond

If it were me, I would get the phone activated...not sure if it's necessary to relock prior to activation...it may be. Then I would flash the most current Sprint rom, in order to make sure everything has been installed and working properly. Next, I would flash the new Telus radio released in early December. Lastly, would come the custom rom...

Should I have The ##778# unlock code, and back everything up before i flash radio?

I CAN FLASH TO STOCK ROM AFTER UNLOCKED RIGHT? Or should I relock it

Unlock code is not necessary, however, it's a good idea to keep your msl on file. It's also unnecessary to back up before flashing the radio. That said, I always back up my stuff, just in case something unforeseen happens. I believe that once the device is unlocked, you can flash any rom designed for it, including an official Sprint version. Just curious.....why haven't you activated the phone? It's always easier upgrade, etc....once you make sure the phone is working properly.

I havent activated yet because i was hoping to get everything running smooth first. Maybe your right though(The kitchen was better than anything ive used, thanks where it due guys).

When I woke up today the plan was to back up my PST setting, I have tried get spc with the dll download. I tried cdma worksop to expensive, And tried the reg edit, And have had no luck

Im starting to think it has to be activated to get that unlock codee

Just activate, and ask for your msl. There's lots of things you'll need it for, including the recent prl update. Enjoy your new diamond.
