Re: Is my gps broken?
I've got a Bell Diamond and my GPS works without changing any settings. It is possible that your GPS is broken, and the rest of the phone will still work. I had this problem with my Asus PDA before. I sent it back and they replaced the GPS module, and all was fine after that.

Re: Is my gps broken?
hey alosun. the stock bell rom is located here:http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062
as for ur gps, thats really starting to sound strange. If ur still within 30 days i would return the phone as a doa and get another one asap, cuz if not i already know that bell is sending out refurbs. lemme know how everything works out after flashing the stock bell rom again (if you decide to do so)

Re: Is my gps broken?
Thanks to everyone for the help--turns out it was the device. I got a new one (old one DOA) and it works like a charm. Thanks again

Re: Is my gps broken? Yes--it was--resolved
On another note. I dropped mine a few days ago, and the GPS stopped working! Obviously I know the tricks on how to fix it, but nothing was working. I got tired, and slammed it against the table and BAM, 10 satellites. It seems if you're too hard on it, it's possible for some connection to the GPS to come loose. I'm going to DOA mine anyways, but just a warning to everyone else.

Re: Is my gps broken? Yes--it was--resolved
I guess it's not really a DOA, Telus has an advanced data swap, so I bring it in, show them it doesn't work, they order me a replacement, and in 2-4 days I should have a new one (and hopefully not a refurb).
