Re: [12-13-08] Juicy ROM 4.2 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]

I am still having battery issues. The overall battery life has been extended but I have to reset the system several times to use the whole charge.

Within 15 min of taking the phone off the charger I lose 2 bars of charge. Within a few hours the phone reports the battery as dead. After a soft reset I then have 3-4 battery bars. I have to reset the phone at lease 2 times to use all the charge in the battery.

This seems to be a reporting issue rather than a battery drain. I have performed all the suggestions so far, hard reset, soft reset, removing the battery, draining the phone completely, and others. So far nothing has helped. I have gone through several charge cycles with no improvement. I am not running any 3rd party battery software, just Juicy 4.1 and now 4.2.

This is not a deal breaker just an annoyance. Does anyone have any suggestions?

et9mywords shortcut is missing from windows/start menu/programs, and the sample pictures and video have been restored, not sure if that was on purpose.

working good so far. thanks.

Flash back to the ROM that wasnt giving you problems and see if it in fact the ROM.... The battery life on my device with the new 4.x roms is great.

Thanks Juicy, no issues at all so far with the new rom.

I can confirm Re-flow is working, and I am curious as what was broken before. I was trying to fix it on previous roms.

Thanks again.

Sounds like you have some battery intensive program running in the background. be sure the internet is not open, wi-fi is off, beam is turned off, etc. Most of us using Juicy's roms, do so for the extended battery life they usually offer. Yours is not the norm, lol.

Re: [12-13-08] Juicy ROM 4.2 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]

As I mentioned in my post I do not believe it is a battery drain issue. The battery will last me quite a while on one charge. The problem is that WM thinks that the battery is draining quicker then it actually is. When I perform a soft reset it shows the battery's true charge for a while and starts losing bars again.

Juicy mentioned to me in response to another post that performing soft reset and going through a charge cycle a few times will allow the system to recalibrate the battery to the true level.

I am running nothing except the base rom with bluetooth and wifi turned off. I am going to flash back to 3.9 before I experienced the issue to see what happens.

The only other thing that I have noticed is that the battery icon turns into a plug when I plug the phone in (which is supposed to happen) but when the phone is fully charged it turns back into a battery, even though it is still plugged in. Not sure if this is related or if it is the way it is supposed to be.

Does anyone else feel like the 4.0-4.2 series is running slower than version 3.9?

It feels like it is to me, just because the texting is lagging quite a bit. :/

dissapointment because i'm a HUGE texter.
is anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just retarded me?
