(12-04-08) Catchacold 1.4 No3D - Very Lite ROM

Download -
1 - Catchacold 1.4 ROM
2 - Sprint Picture Mail

Still trying to keep this ROM as lite as possible while still functional for me.
I have a cab from RealVNC (beta) but they have removed it from there site (much better for remote support then RDP) - So, I didnt cook it in for legal reasons I guess.

All based on the C4rbon Kitchen (Thanks)
- OEM 3.00
- SYS 20931 v5a

- Disable voice command if you dont use it
- Delete Games Folder (\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\)
- Disable Beam

Changes v1.4 (I am done for now until another OEM and SYS package comes out)

- Map phone button to rotate screen (Thanks nttdemented)
- Removed Obex Inbox
- Removed Voice Recorder
- Removed Audio Manager (Not needed in this ROM)
- Added MP3 Trimmer back in so I can use MP3's for ring tones
- Fixed in call volume issue (Thanks highlife22 and Drybonz)

Not much has change in v1.4 - I do want to mention though, because I couldnt find a way to remove the MRU list on the start menu. This is what I did - uncheck all Programs under Settings/Menu - This way you are basically using the MRU as your main Start Menu. I included some programs that I use a lot by default (minus a couple that I added later). You can add your own with the follwing Reg Key

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TaskSwi tch]
"3"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Comm Manager.lnk"
"2"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Pictures & Videos.lnk"
"1"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\MP3 Trimmer.lnk"
"0"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Camera.lnk"
"6"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Windows Live.lnk"
"5"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Messaging.lnk"
"4"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\File Explorer.lnk"
"11"=""
"10"=""
"9"=""
"8"=""
"7"=""

Changes v1.3

- Removed YouTube app
- Added Youtube.com to Opera favorites
- Removed Avatars
- Added Obex Inbox - Might remove it in the next release

Changes v1.2

- Add Favorite internet TV - http://www.hulu.com/
- Reverted back to EzInput 1.5.32437.0 Keyboard
- Removed EJava
- Added Voice Command (For you BT users)
- Added Voice recorder
- Added Audio Booster

catchacold v1.1

What was removed and edits that I like -
(I might have left a couple out of the list)

Removed
Entertainment
One Note
RDP
Transcriber
Voice Command
VOIP
PHM Reg
TouchFlo
Manila Clock
Games
RSS Hub
Social Net
Manila
FM Radio
Sprint TV
HTC Album

Looks good, Catchacold!

Actually, your content is very similar to what I will be releasing next week in a 20931 ROM, though mine will include a custom TF3D combination.

Good luck with your cooking!

Re: (12-04-08) Catchacold 1.4 No3D - Very Lite ROM

Thanks two both of you - Ya know if your not doing it for youself, who ya doing it for? ya know - I enjoy it - Even though I am not a expert by any means - Hopefully other people will get use out of this ROM. My main thing was being able to use VNC for remote support and having a battery that lasts. So, yeah I did strip it down. Well, plus I like my tunes as ring tones (all work and no play, ya know). Hopefully, the firewall company I use will hurry up and release there pocket PC VPN software - For now just using built in VPN and controlling/fixing peoples computers from the bar - haha.

Anyway, thanks again.
