First, thanks OMJ I realy like the ease of use this rom.
I have found one problem and in all likely hood I should know how to fix it but I can't seem to remeber...
In Live Search, Maps, I can't get the GPS to work. It tells me that no GPS is found on COM 0... So, how do I tell it to look for COM 4?

Anyone having issues with the weather tab? When you add, it says Country, but there's only States in there. Love this rom BTW...I find myself coming back to this one after trying out the others. Battery life has been much better with every update and very stable. Thanks OMJ.

By default, Manila says Country, but I am using a custom weather database built by Conflipper. He removed most of the countrys as most users here are N. American.....it does have Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, & UK.

I can post the stock manila weather database file if anyone wants it.

Greetings All!

Figured I would give this ROM a try because I'm enamored with the transparent slider concept and OMJ has somehow gotten the icons to reside within the center of the tab area.

So far so nice... lots of good stuff and a few apps I'm only just now learning about.

Unfortunately, the Weather Database Editor doesn't show any cities. Ever. I can add cities, but then they vanish from the list. The Weather app itself sees a whole bunch of cities including the ones that I've added. But the Editor in this state is completely unable to edit or delete a city.

Any thoughts regarding this?

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers, Henri

it probably is due to the custom weather database I'm using from Conflipper as the stock database does not have this issue.....not sure why it is behaving like this.

attached is the stock database, if you want to switch back to it....just copy the manila file into \windows

I'll give it a whirl someday; but fortunately it's not a big deal. After all, all I wanted to do was add a couple of custom locations and that I can do. I really don't ever need to edit or delete an entry.

I noticed something else by the way. On the Start menu that's generated by clicking on the icon rather than the word Start... all the Favorite links are broken. Doesn't seem to know to open the browser window and tries to execute the URL by itself.

Nothing major, just FYI.

Overall I'm very pleased with the ROM.

Cheers, Henri

Alright... I backed everythint up with PMI and every since I'm having a whole lot of problems answering incoming calls. I've narrowed it down to something with S2U2. However, it isn't consistant. It will answer sometimes without any problems and then other times I'll slide the answer button to answer and nothing... It will keep ringing but won't let me answer it?
So, I've changed about every setting and tested it with my wife's phone... Same thing... Inconsistant answering...
I reinstalled S2U2... Still the same thing...

Any help Please.](*,)

This sounds an awful lot like a problem I used to have. A failure to properly answer the phone if there's a data connection going on.

Try this out and see how this works for you:

Alright... I figured out the whole answering thing... It was the evdo staying on. I've fixed it.

Now, with your V6... I can't seem to add any more favorite links under Opera. The only one that shows up is the Youtube one.
I can add links inside of Opera... But nothing outside?
Any help.
I' checked the opera6 file and all of the links I added inside of Opera are there?

I hate being the one having any problems...
I realy love everything else about this rom...
But. This version of opera sucks.
It seems I can't change much at all in it.
The start page is always blank... Regardless of what I've put as the home page.
I can't seem to add any more favorites to the wigets...
and no Gsensor support...
So, for your next version I vote put the V.5 opera 2745 back in it...
The little zoom wiget on the side isn't worth all the problems...
Everything else... Great.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues....this version of Opera is working great for me. It loads much faster, and I've gotten used to the zoom on the side. I don't use the internet tab....just have one of the squares on the program tab dedicated to Opera. I actually like it better that way, because I have Skyfire, IE, and Opera Mini right there close by. I can then choose which one to use, but unless I'm going to watch a video, which Skyfire is the choice.....I have become more pleased with Opera....especially since this latest version actually loads quite quickly.

I have mixed feelings about this opera. The OEM I created for this Opera followed the Cab that Conflipper made, which puts Opera in \Application Data\Opera9. I think I read somewhere that the reason the favs do not show up on the widget is because Opera is not in \Windows\Opera9. I am going to test this today, I've already modified the OEM. I think that may be the cause of the blank page issue too.

OMJ....this version of Opera has started to lock up over the past few days. The only thing to bring it back, is to delete the cache quite often. Per usual, I think there's a newer version out. I've been using your newest rom with the task bar icons, and really like the stability....just like I came to expect from your Touch roms. I was thinking about asking for a "lite" version, but find myself using most of the programs, except the games. Great job, and thanks for the effort.

Actually, Opera has settled down, and is working pretty well for me. I noticed that Calkulin has what appears to be a newer build in his latest iteration -- v9.5.15316 -- not really sure if it's better, but perhaps worth checking out.

That's strange because my Opera is barely functional?? I can't zoom in or out at all using the scroll around the D-pad, clicking browser doesn't take me to my homepage it just takes me to blank, and the bookmarks don't show up in TF3D and they have to be double clicked in Opera to work. Is nobody else having this problem?

Maybe this will be helpful -- here's my approach. First of all, I don't use the "internet" tab, I use "programs" instead, and have Opera set up as one of the nine boxes. In this version of Opera, the zoom is along the right side of the screen, and it works very well. Since the program is very finger friendly, I just use my finger to scroll and zoom. Never touch the d-pad on the phone. My bookmarks are stored under the star, and they work great. Give it a try....

I didnt get a chance to post last night, but I modified the Opera OEM to install to Windows, cooked, flashed, tested. The favs now show on the Internet widget but I could not get Opera to launch....tried a few things, flashed a few times, but no go.

I noticted Calc had a version 9.5.15202, so I've been testing that....seems to be faster and I'm not having the performance issues I did b4. I'll also check out the 15316 version.

I'll get a updated rom out soon w/ a different version of opera.

in addition to the opera thing, the music player doesn't seem to function correctly on the sprint with icons rom. I reflashed my diamond, but it didn't fix it. It won't let me scroll through the music if you understand what I am saying, just goes to the next song.

I ok, I tested Opera 9.5 15316 version (thx Calcu)....I'm really liking this version, Internet tab works 100% along w/ the favs, the home page loads not the blank page, links from start/favorites work, and the video sites link from the programs/multimedia folder now work. the only strange thing I found is w/ the zoom....double tap to zoom in, but i cant find a zoom bar....to manually zoom in/out, you have to use the d-pad....which is fine w/ me.

I recooked all 3 roms, i did not change the version #, just rebuilt & uploaded.

in addition to the opera thing, the music player doesn't seem to function correctly on the sprint with icons rom. I reflashed my diamond, but it didn't fix it. It won't let me scroll through the music if you understand what I am saying, just goes to the next song.

I just tested, I play a sing, then hit the up or down arrow & it play the next or previous song.

I forgot to mention I also changed to a newer version Total Commander....and I also created an FTP connection to the PPCGeeks FTP, if you want to surf the ftp ....if it asks for a password, just press ok, as it does not require a password.

I tried to get this to work but it keeps telling me to check USB connection. I am running XP and have not had this problem before. Any Ideas?

OMJ -

Great ROM.

You probably know this, but Microsoft released an updated version of Live Search a few days ago. I didn't know if you plan to include the update in the update in a future ROM?

Thanks.
