Yep, went into voice command options, and if you select messaging, click "notifications" and uncheck "only during free time" it did for me too. Awesome. :)

Thanks rstoyguy, hit the nail on the head. Makes sense too, don't know why I didn't check there.

Thanks for the info.

I really don't want to flash again. How much spae foes the stock one take?

As gor the Mail tab, it's not flipping open when I move from one tab to the Mail tab. On the previous Rom it did.

Anyways, my PC is bunked becuase of the hard drive dieing probably, so I won't be able to flash till night.

OMJ, Is there any reason you didn't tweak the Glyph Cache, File System Cache Size, and and File System Filter Cache? When I had a Touch Pro I made those changes to make it much faster, just wondering if it would be a bad thing to try again on the Diamond with your ROM.

Also, how do I go about getting the Bluetooth PAN to connect to the internet? I have no problem connecting using USB but I just can't get it to connect using bluetooth. It just says "Device setup finished. Pon the PC, connect Bluetooth PAN" on my Diamond but nothing happens on my computer. I have previously synched my diamond and computer.

Lastly, when I try to connect to Sprint Picture Mail I get a G66 Error: There was an error trying to register your phone. How do I fix that?

I have found that I need an EVDO connection to register my phone; so if you're roaming or using Wi-Fi or equivalent, try turning those off temporarily. I could be wrong but it's worth a try.

Cheers, Henri

after testing several ROMS out there i find this one to be on top ( for me anyway ) ..there is a question though , i do not like the flip clock at all and i do like the sprint stock theme ..is there a way to switch back to the sprint clock on this ROM?

also maybe im wrong ( noob ) but is this ROM and older version? it seems most other ROMS are at 5.2.21109 ..
so i was just wondering is there a plan to go to 5.2.21109

I got the custom weather database from Conflipper, and he told me he has an updated version. I'll have the new one in my next rom, but for now, you can copy the manila file manually to \windows.....actually, it looks like Conflipper has a cab.

It wasn't until I flashed the new ROM that my high-priority messages began to read the subjects aloud to me upon delivery. I'm not sure if this is something I want or not to be honest, I was just curious as to where I could find the setting to toggle this.

Thanks!:headbang:

lol....i'm sure it's voice command ....i havent had any email speak to me, but I have had appointments on my calender talk to me....I said WTH, lol

I'm not sure on the space, I did not record that info when I tested the rom.

not sure about the envelope not flipping, it's working on my custom, and it only has more apps than the clean rom, so there's no reason it should not work.....maybe a bad flash.

anyone else using the clean rom having this issue?

I do have some....

Code:

<characteristic type="HKLM\System\GDI\GLYPHCACHE" translation="filesystem">
<parm name="limit" datatype="integer" value="16384"/>
</characteristic>

<characteristic type="HKLM\System\StorageManager\FATFS" translation="filesystem">
<parm name="CacheSize" datatype="integer" value="4096"/>
<parm name="EnableCache" datatype="integer" value="1"/>
</characteristic>

<characteristic type="HKLM\System\StorageManager\Filters\fsreplxfilt" translation="filesystem">
<parm name="ReplStoreCacheSize" datatype="integer" value="4096"/>
</characteristic>

which were you using? I'll check em out.

i dont have BT on my laptop to test, but it appears to be functioning correctly on the diamond. i think i've used it when i had the touch, i believe there may be something you need to do on your pc.

I've seen the G66 error too, but just tried it and it was fine....previously when i saw the error, i ran the profile update in the system tab in the control panel, and after i updated, it worked fine.

see attached file. disable TouchFlo3D 1st, then copy the manila files into \windows, then re-enable TF3D.

dont be fooled by others using different OS versions. they are porting them from other (sometimes unknown) devices. I typically stick w/ the OS the phone comes w/ unless it's deemed to have issues. Now if a WM6.5 version emerges, then I would consider.

I'm having the same issue with the ROM with the custom manilla with the transparent slider. I knew it felt different but until I read these posts I couldn't figure out why. Not a huge issue to be honest, but a mystery nonetheless.

Cheers, Henri

This is what I had found on the TP forum and it worked well on my computer:
-----File system cache size= set to 8mb
-----file system filter cache= set to 131072 sectors
-----Glyph cache= set to 128KB
I made these changes using advanced config tool, not directly in the registry, so I'm wondering if you actually made these changes but they just don't show up in advanced config. Either way, my phone is fast enough with the changes you made :headbang:

Also, regarding the Sprint Picture Mail, I updated my profile and it now works! I tried updating with your 1.09 and it didn't update but this time it does! What else does that change/fix for me?
