Yeah. Its better to change things in large chunks rather than small. Just a little easier to make sure things will work well with each other.

Hey Con,
Yea that was a thread I started, and yea weird that the old version works, but not the new one. So something the old version does that the newer does not. Is there some way to compare the 2 and see what exactly is going on?

yeah i saw that post after i posted that. The thing that is different is the registry settings. one thing to try would be to flash to my rom. download something like CEregeditor. and backup the registry, HKLM/software/arcsoft, back this up. and then flash to another rom and try and import that registry you backup, and see if it works.

I would but i am trying to get mine going. I have not had it boot up in the past 2 hours. I place everything into the memory, so all the programs load up very fast. everything seems to be a little faster. So that is good. Gonna work on this few hours tonight. More then likey it will be a late night for me.

hit a hang up yesterday. 12 hours of no boots and i finally had to start everything over from scratch, so I am working on it all day again today. Once i get it stable and everything is great, I will release.

con could you explain the whole modules thing? does anyone else have their rom like this? how does it make programs load up faster..

no one else has it this way. what it does is place that into the memory, aand so when it is needed it is easier to find, the rom knows the exact address that it is at, and so it does not have to search for it, so it in turn loads up faster and savess everything from having to search.



Not all conversions to modules work, so you have to test everyone that you do. But if it does work then the following advantages are seen.

Faster loading times
Less Memory Bloaing
Better Paging

But not everyone works, so it takes time to test everything out. You can module .exe .dll and .mui files.

so is the tradeoff...we will have a bit less available ram???

no trade off, the only thing is that is takes more time to do, and you need the right tools. so that is why it is not a common use.
