I was never able to get the roaming icon to come off there. what the problem is the PRI. the alltel diamond has version 1.25 or sometihng. and the sprint diamond has 1.44. and so it is that sprint file. however that files is located in the folder of the shipped rom. and is install when you update your rom. and so until an update is put out for the alltel diamond, this issue will be there.

multiselect was not part of the 20xxx builds. however, i have been able to get it working half way. meaning you need to go from bottom to top to select them. in the update coming out later today. so it will be back in there. I am finalizing a few things now. so shouldnt be much longer

sexy as i like to say about the new rom that is. well that sucks about the icon and if i read correctly you bought the sprint version and flashed it right? i tried the update pri that is put on there from the dcd carrier cab but it said backup efs failed so i installed juggalos remove backup and it said cannot write nv or something to that effect. if somehow that could be fixed and i could make it nvwritable would the update pri feature work.

i was reading at xda and superciding gave me nv access but not able to write just read but of course i am still a noob so i am not sure i understand all this 100%. and with that i will stop hogging the forum. thanks con you are the man!!!

it cant write the nv because its trying to use 000000 as the spc/msl. a sprint device has got a different spc.

use qpst to change your msl/spc to 000000 first.

already did that it was a requirement in order to activate the phone but i did not know that so i will tinker with it some more but qpst and the diamond do not get along it keeps disconnecting. thnaks juggalo!

its because all available versions of qpst dont have the diamonds proper chipset as an option yet
thats why it crashes. and if msl 000000 dont work im out of ideas.

there is also a modded alltel prl around here that gets rid of the roaming icon.

search the upgrade section for alltel prl

will do and thanks as you always seem to sweep in to the rescue and for that i am grateful. i am going to try the new prl or modded prl and see what that does i will post back.

i have read that too and from my understanding it only changes the priority of the phone calls you receive or send as opposed to others who is set higher but it is still an interesting thing to tinker with. i did not find a modded prl and am still using 40038 for smartphones so maybe that is the modded but i am after i get off work going to tinker with updating the pri somehow and try some stuff i have not yet and see where i can get with it.
