okay here is a sample of how my EPST setting look on my sprint diamond, with full data working on alltel network. try these settings, The important steps for data are 8, 10 and 11. if you can get these the way i have them then you will not have a problem.

Also remember to update your PRL to an alltel PRL file.

Where XXXXXXXXXX is this should be your cell phone number.

EPST Menu

1 Display- Change Nothing Here

2 A-Key - Change Nothing

3 NAM Settings- Use this to Change your MIN and MDN if you know what these are. This is where your phone number is stored at, so for pogramming of your phone.

4 CDMA Settings- Shouldn't Have to change anything here either.

5 Home SID/Home NID- for me these settings are 1236/65535

6 Modem Settings- I didnt change anything here

7 PRL- use this to update your PRL

8 Security-

HDR AN AUTH USER ID- XXXXXXXXXX@alltel.net
HDR AN AUTH Password- alltel
PPP User ID- XXXXXXXXXX@alltel.net
PPP Password- alltel

9 Data Parameters (dont worry about)

10 M.IP Settings

Active User Profile-1
MIP_Mode- Mobile IP preferred

11 M.IP Default Pofile (depending on what you use for Active User profile in step 10 set up that profile.

Oh I forgot to ask you conflipper, does your phone have the roaming triangle going all the time? Are you using the radio that came with the sprint phone? Thank you again for your time and help.

I updated to the verizon radio. it helps with the battery life.

Yes I do have the roaming trialngle. that is because of some setting on sprint that is not right with alltel. but once alltel provides an official ship rom for this phone that will go away.

To update to prl just check out this link. it also has PRL file downloads.

Those were my settings. The home SID was different, but that appears to be normal. Mine is 125 and my friend who is in Kentucky has 128.

Is there any way to reverse the changes made by installing the DCD Alltel carrier cab?

Con, are you using an alltel home sid or a sprint one? I'm not using the diamond but I would think it would act the same way. Anyway, my phone was a sprint phone and I had to not only change to an alltel prl but I had to change the home sid to an alltel one. Where I live I use a verizon tower so I have the flashing triangle icon. But, when I go into town I am on alltel and it goes away.

rom. After I was up and running and had the phone connected on Alltel I changed to a modded rom. But, the main things I had to make sure were updated and correct were the PRL and home SID. Since then I upgraded to the latest radio by flashing the bell rom. Then flashing back to the modded rom.
