I don't use bluetooth at all. The heat is not really an issue. It gets fairly warm but not like the stock radio (which can get hot). I'd say similar to the VZW radio. It's hard to measure since I'm judging purely on feel. I notice heat when I tether or stream videos for long periods of time.
