you should not be getting invalid id error if you have a cdma diamond? If you have a gsm one, you will brick your phone flashing this radio. so be careful. so if you have a sprint diamond, have unlocked your phone properly, there is no reason it wont work.

unlocked sprint diamond over here and still getting error.

Is there away to flash the verizon radio without hard reset. The 1.03.03v seem to work better for me in my area with cricket.

FYI, it's not the radio version which hard resets your phone or not, it's the way it's packaged. You can add the radio rom .nbh file to the custom RUU linked here, and it shouldn't hard reset regardless of radio version:

congrats on the new phone. Yes you can update your radio by flashing a radio rom. To do this, you will need to unlock your phone properly. this thread talks about this.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062

Once your phone is unlocked, you can flash the radio of your choice. They are all packaged already to flash so you dont need to do anyting other than extract the rar to a file on your desktop, and flash by selecting the ROMUpdateUtility.exe while connected to active sync. Make sure you read the instructions before you do this. Also, the Telus radio 1.04.05v, the new sprint radio 1.11.00f and the sprint radio 1.03.15f are packaged to not hard reset your phone post flash. meaning if you flash these radios, your phone will not hard reset afterwards so all of your customizations are saved. The others will hard reset your phone. One other thing, the flashing process is fast with a radio but there is a long wait between 99% and 100%. dont be alarmed it will eventually go to 100 and will let you know when it's complete shortly thereafter.

**just make sure to read up and follow the instructions in the thread above. Its easy but can screw up your phone if you dont follow the instructions exactly. Good luck.

Wow, thaks for this.. I was just about to ask if there was a way to flash the radios, and not have to hard reset.. Flashed to the Telus Radio, from the SPrint stock radio which is 1.00 i think, hopefully it doesn't negatively effect my EVDO..

It shouldn't effect your data speeds. Normally all of the radios get about the same data performance although some have reported better data speeds with the telus and new sprint radio. So it depends on your location.

I think this maybe just an issue with my phone, but i'm in downriver, MI and have the telus radio. the sound quality during a call is subpar and i hear static in the background. i think i'm going to stick with the stock.
