Looks like HTC snuck out a ROM update for the Sprint variant of the Touch Diamond. Here's what's fixed in this "Maintenance Release":
  • Provides enhancements to the HTC dialer application
  • Resolves an issue where the “Internal Storage” drive may not be recognized by the device
  • Includes minor enhancements for Sprint TV and Opera Browser
  • Resolves an issue with time not updating correctly after daylight savings time adjustment
  • Includes a variety of minor bug fixes
Applying the update will bump you up to Version 2.00.651.7. As always, be sure to read through all the instructions (pdf link), and above all, back up your important data first

Weird question but would this update have anything to do with anything. I've been with Mighty for about 22 years and I'm on 4.7. I am interested with the Sprint TV since I am with Sprint. It's the minor bugs fix that make me wonder about the ring tone situation. By the way I'm one who has never had a ringer problem.
I hope this is not too weird a post but my curiosity....

this has been posted twice already: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=63527 and http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=63528.

to answer your question I am sure Mighty has looked it over and will take anything good from it. It's an improvement over the original shipped rom and Sprint TV works great but it's not good enough to justify leaving Mighty's roms. well maybe for a peek but you will see that it's still not as good as what our chefs put out on this forum. plus you can load sprint tv via cab install to mighty's rom and it will work descent.

Sorry that I did not notice the earlier posts. I would never leave Mighty and go back to stock, why it would be "the end of the world as I know it". ok maybe not that severe but I wanted to bring this up in case it fell through the cracks or something.

No problem man. I agree with you. there are things that work better on the new shipped rom like sprint tv but that's about it. It's all preference.

I just wanted to throw in my excitement for the WM 6.5 version of MightyROM. :) GrooveROM doesn't really suit my preferences, but MightyROM has been perfect so far and I've been itching to give 6.5 a spin!

IMPROVE BATTERY LIFE!!!
Ok sorry about that...but I figured it out with the help of Hibby. Go to HKCU/Software/HTC/Bootloader (I think it's called Bootloader) and delete the whole Opera tree under it. There is an entry for Opera9.exe and it is killing your battery life. Once it's removed your battery life will improve with 4.7/4.8.

Mike: Can you please implement it for 4.9?

Not that I don't believe you, but how are you basing that this will increase your battery life so significantly. You just found out about it a couple hours ago. Are you just basing it on the battery discharge rate? If so, can you list the before and after for me so that I can decide if I want a slower starting Opera or better battery life? TIA

Okay, new release would be awesome. I do have a question right quick, I'm having a problem with word completion not working on 4.8. It worked just fine when I flashed earlier today from 3.9 but now out of the blue I get a new text and I no longer have word completion.
