wow a lot of people are having the ringer issue...I guess I am lucky! This rom is perfect to me.

Sadly I'm getting random reboots (most seem related to WMP), resetting notification popups, and occasional home screen jumps.

I too was getting " Error file is currupted" when trying to choose ring-****** as ringtone. Only when going to the phone options through the phone dialer I would get this error. But allowed me to set the alarm-**** as ringtone.

What I did was create a "My Ringtones" folder in my documents like someone subjected. Soft reset and its working fine FOR NOW. Im able to see the 4 tabs in phone setting while in option through dialer (wasnt able before the ring was working).

hmmmm im still thinking maybe something in the reg we need to edit? anyone know the reg location for ringtone settings?

4.8 is flawless for me. No ringtone issues or random resets.

New discovery! It seem that the ring error doesnt affect wav audio files. HMMMMMM... Only wma and mp3s, wierd. So for a temp fix just convert your ringtone as WAV file. Strange can this be an issue with the codec..Dunno.

k well converting is no issue with winff. but i would still like to know how to fix this issue bc its kinda an incovience to convert everytime i wanna change my ringer. hmmmm any ideas how to make this work the way its supposed to?

I dont think its a registry prob itself, I think its the whole rom causing conflict with the phone. Not saying the rom is bad. Perhaps the rom is having diffrent affect on different ppl because theres a line of different Diamond versions (In result Mike sis and friend having same version phone, means not having a taste of this annoying bug) Maybe something in the lines of "hardware related".

Sadly, I think to only way would be if Mike can get his hands on one of the Diamond having ring issues and create a specific dedicated rom or patch for these type of phones. Sux we have to have miss calls on such a sexy phone.
