I am thinking there maybe 1 dll or registry entry that is being changed/accessed by different apps or mods that is causing this problem. I can say that after removing the front page Tsowen taskbar and replacing with my usual Tsowen taskbar last night i was able to get my phone to ring.

During the night hours i set the phone to silent and in the morning i turn the volume back up, this morning i just turned the system volume up and my phone still rings and vibrates.. =D> the past 2 days i did the same thing 1st using the system volume up (lost ring but retained vibrate) and yesterday i used ring volume up 1st (lost ring and vibrate)

So for today, (upto now) my phone is working properly, i will update tomorrow after another night set to silent.

tsowentaskbar4v1.6 or tsowentaskbar5v1.7 - The only change you have to make is to use totalcommander or similar file explorer and rename shellres.192.dll.0409.mui to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui.bak and then rename shellres.192.dll to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui that way you get the coloured start logo instead of the B/W one.

Please remove the Tsowen Taskbar cab from the first page of this thread, because I am quite sure it is what was causing the "no ringing" problem I was experiencing on my phone. I uninstalled that app and my problem vanished immediately and has not returned.

I'm not saying that this applies to everyone else experiencing a similar problem, but for those of you whose phones don't ring, if you have Tsowen Taskbar installed just uninstall it and see if your problem clears up. I do not have a My Ringtones folder so I don't think it is neccessary.

Not hijacking your thread up Mike but just clearing things up, I have ran this ROM with the taskbar and no problems with the ringer. In the latest taskbars I have created I switched over to the new HTCVolumecontrol.dll so there would be no conflicts with the ROM and my taskbar's since right now this ROM is pretty much the most popluar IMO. With that being said I will go back to the other taskbar's like 2,3, and 5 and change out the HTCVolumecontrol with the new one. As stated by fade try fix he mentioned changing out icons in a dll has nothing to do with the ringer specific, also some dialer skins have been causing this problem. If you have problems and think its the taskbar PM me or post something in my thread so we work on a fix.

You can try "hard reset" to see if that fixes the problem or force phone into "boot loader" mode so you can flash a new rom onto the device.

still have the same issue phone rang fine lastnight and as of today no ringing so it def a rom issue. bc reflashing stock hard resets and flashing back to mighty then more hard resets and a clear storage then a soft reset still didnt work. phone still wont ring with selected ringtone. lools like im gonna have to go too every contact and add a ringtone til we get a new rom or a fix

I still haven't had any ringer problems and I am using the taskbar from the first post, weird.
