The "Advanced" version (v2.1.1) is not out yet. It should be released next week.

i'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I cannot get the fingerkb to work on my diamond. I installed this cab -

FingerKeyb-2.0 no arrows-VGA.cab (911.3 KB, 231 views)

it shows up on the list and displays, but when I goto settings -> input -> I can select it just fine, hit ok, but it defaults back to the full qwerty everytime (running MRom 4.6), the config shows up (lang, sms suggest, word suggest, etc) but defaults back every time. tried soft reset after install/config.

am I missing something? tried a couple different cabs for the v2.0, nothing seems to work

Did you make sure you installed to internal storage? Are you also unable to select the keyboard from input selection on the SIP itself?

Also, with Fingerkeyb installed on my Diamond it always defaults back to the windows keyboard after a soft reset. I believe this is normal and can be changed by installing a .cab that will set Fingerkeyb as your default.

edit: meant to say be sure to install to device, not internal storage...

I think that was the issue, selecting from the SIP, i'll double check that, just to be sure, you mean the SIP selector prog not something else right?

Ive been trying to download this for a few days now, I get timed out.

I had the other versions on my other diamonds, but they all went back to Telus for other issues and now that I am on my 3rd phone, Id like to get this one on it.

Okay, I'm officially on crack. I meant, be sure to install to the DEVICE, not internal storage. Heh, damn Cisco exam prep is frying my freaking brain here!!!

And yeah, I mean the selector built into SIP.
