Using Diamond Tweak:

Enable the other camera modes....

Take pics with burst or sport phone freezes up after taking pics and never keeps the pics

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I finally have the phone set up and loving it with Mikes rom and ricos customizations.

No need to use Diamond tweak for this, these mods are already present.

I'm sure I am missing something, but my camera only has:

1. Photo
2. Video
3. Panorama
4. Contacts Picture
5. Picture Theme (which, when selected, says "Unable to switch to the Picture Theme Capture Mode. Unable to load the default template." and OK closes the camera altogether.

I sure don't see where Burst or Sport modes are already present. Perhaps you could clarify. It would also be cool if you could explain this default template and where it might be, as well as the GPS-stamped picture mode. Thanks.

Edit: Enabling P10 enables GPS-photo mode. Now I just need to figure out what that means. :-)

Must not be on the Diamond then, sorry. The TP ROM contains:
1. Photo
2. Video
3. Panorama
4. MMS Video
5. Contacts Picture
6. Burst
7. Picture Theme
8. Sport
9. Video Share
10. GPS Photo

Yep, must be on the Touch Pro only. Must be difficult to keep track of what's on the Diamond and what's on the Pro. So we do need the Diamond tweaks for these modes.

Agreed. I was also looking into the Video's frame rate... I wonder if we can push it farther. It is set for 15 in the registry but there are 4 different file types it can capture and at three different resolutions. All of them are set to 15.

Just wanted to say that I've been using Mike's ROM since 2.x days and they always get better and better with every release. This one however is head and shoulders above all, and I just don't know how it can get any better than this (although I'm sure Mike will find a way). I was going to pick up the Pre when it comes out and ditch WM, but this ROM may make me stay, it is unbelievable!! Thanks again Mike for all your incredible work.

Hi Mike,

The latest IE is great, I hope you no longer include Opera Mobile in the ROM, at least not as the default browser. It is slow, bulky, runs my Diamond hot and breaks things such as Live Search.

Thank you and really want to donate some money to you.

Are you using a custom CaptureTimer parameter in the registry? This seems to cause some problems with sport and burst mode:

I have not tried this myself though.

I did not know these items were available - I thought they were related to the rom and thought Juicy was doing something "special" when his roms had these. I quickly searched for, found, and installed diamond tweaks. I enabled those camera modes. I had the same freezing issues with burst and sports modes. I tried to use 1mp and 3mp settings, both caused freezing. I'll go back to "regular" photos for now.

Taken from the thread above:
Quote:

just to let you all know, if you use Sport or Burst mode, changing the CaptureTimer to equal 50 will cause both modes to crash when used (and actually freeze up the phone, requiring a soft reset). I haven't played around with changing 5000 to any other values (other than 0), so anyone with time is free to test out which value is stable.
Thanks. I changed the value to 0 and my results are:

Burst mode now only takes 1 picture at a time, not sure if this is good or not

Sports mode takes 5 pics quickly and does not freeze and does save the pics.

The reason this is important to me is that my hands are too shaky which they are not very shaky at all to take a good picture in regular mode. Every pic comes out blurry. In sports or burst mode it takes it so quickly it does not matter and I get good pics and just delete what I don't want.

Mike and LilRico, can we please come up with a fix for this to get it to work like you have on the pro? Thank you so much for your help, and again, I love the ROM.:thumbleft:
