I have the exact same problem, its annoying but if you wait a couple seconds after you deploy the SIP its usually okay. The old SIP I had from the original Telus rom (the big one that took up 2/3 of the screen) never did this and when I tried grooverom which uses that SIP I noticed the problem was gone but every single other rom has done that and I have gone through 2 different diamonds and both had identical issues.

ok just finished flashing, the dialer seems to be a different dialer, not the phone canvas..looks like the old crowded one with the end and the talk button. trying to reflash, will come back with result
