I may have spoken too soon. When I intially tested, my PC saw the device (Touch Diamond) and its two drives. I have since disconnected and reconnect. Upon reconnect, my PC installed a generic USB driver and now I just see a single drive (the 4GB internal one).

I am going to try the HTC hot fix that I saw earlier to see what happens.

Edit: while the phone is attached to the USB cable, I am also getting a slow pulse white light on the center control that I haven't noticed before.
