Ok, this is weird. My vibrate on my phone has died for a second time while using this ROM! It just stops working.... I have no idea why. Could it be the ROM?

I've tried soft resets, hard resets, changing ROMs, going back to stock ROM... nothing works.

Could it just be my luck with crappy phones?

If I were you I would flash back to the stock rom and take it back for a new phone.

Okay, please, for the love of monkeys, I posted several pages back and was completely ignored.
I will make this simple...only one question

Can the original (Sprint) white mini qwerty keyboard be installed over top of the black one on MightyROM 4.6?

Bear in mind, should you answer, I will be forced to submit my other questions in a one by one fashion

I would say yes. You need to use a task manager to stop the SIPGT_app.exe first, then install the keyboard cab. soft reset and it should be fine. I have done this numerous times on many roms with no issues. I use FdcSoft Taskmanager to do this.

I'm currently using Mighty 4.6 and while in a call choosing Menu->Start Recording does nothing. Is it possible to make this start the voice recording app?

After doing some research on xda I found a partial solution.

Install InCallRecording_repacked_monx.cab it is from the TouchHD. For some reason the program does not work for me but it does allow the Start Recording menu item to function.
The recordings are stored in \device\My Documents\Recordings.
If anyone has had luck getting the program to work I'd love to know how so I can change the store settings.

It's a problem with Windows Mobile. Get the MS cab from post #3 here to fix it: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=60237

there appears to be a problem with Sprint. the problem is with multiple roms. You can manual fix it for now by going to Setting>Phone>Services>Time Synchronization>Get Settings>Uncheck "Time synchronize with mobile network automatically" box. Then go to the bottom, set the correct time zone and time and save. I am sure it will be fixed soon enough and this will atlease give you the proper timezone for now. good luck.

edit: the cab for me didn't work but maybe it works for others.

I sure hope this isn't the final release. Lots of issues:

Opera crashes/closes randmonly. Battery life really poor compared to other version. Strange lockups.

MightyROM, I know this is "free", but please consider another release or two.

You might want to do some reading, if you have not already.

Did you hard reset after flashing the ROM?

I am not getting any Opera issues and I have used a ROM with better battery life.

Re: |.March 1st, 2009.| |.MightyROM 4 . 6.| |.20765 - UC - 24MB PP.|

It seems with some of the newer builds during startup there is a annoying beep that happens. I at first though somthing I installed was giving an error at startup but I found that after a hard reset it happened still.
I managed to track it back to when the radio is being turned on the phone emits that beep. It is controlled by changing the following:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction \CDMA\FlightModeOnOFF]
"EnableSound"=dword:00000001 (for on - the current default)
"EnableSound"=dword:00000000 (for off)

For any of you wishing to remove that jarring beep on startup (just does not mesh well with the silky smooth stability of our beloved MightyROM) just change it to 0 and enjoy. ;)

There's still people who can't get to my site? Hmmm....

Also, how many people are getting lockups during volume control? I need to have a good consensus....

Also, the in call recorder I have been using for the longest time, but it DOES NOT record from the internal mic. So the person you're talking to will sound very distant!!!!! For that reason, Mike hasn't included it. We want perfection! LOL....

Now that is strange. I know if you can't get it from your phone, tethering is automatically not going to work either because they use the same DNS path... As far as the library I don't know what they have and most of them have proxy's or other things in their network that can be causing it issues. Do you have a computer that has a ISP like road runner that you can test on? Every computer I have tested it on works, and that includes: US Army Network, Lockheed Martin, Adelphia, Sprint network, Road Runner, Bell South, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon Fios, I know the site is live, I just don't know why some people are haivng issues :(.

Heya Mike, I wanted to know when I turn my phone on, it hangs at the Touch Diamond logo. Does that mean it's "bricked"? I can hard reset it and get the RGB screen for 1.5 secs and then blue letters on white asking to push vol up or down to reboot...then it reboots and hangs at the logo...

Your MightyRom 4.6 was for CDMA, right? So now I can use my GSM Diamond as a paperweight cuz I had a mental pause and crossflashed, heh...some things get better when you cross them...

Well, I can't speak for Mike (or how you might "unbrick" your phone), but I think the thread name speaks for itself: PPCGeeks > Pocket PC Phones > HTC Diamond > CDMA HTC Diamond Upgrades

I have however, flashed several newer versions on a spare Diamond I have laying around bu there's only so much testing you can do it without the phone being activated. I know it's sacrilegious to be so far behind, but I have a question nonetheless:

On my 2.5 ROM phone, i have over 10,000 text messages. Now these are all stored to the phone as far as I remember. In newer versions though, there's the option to save texts messages to the Internal Memory. So my question is that when I flash 4.6 now and restore my text messages how can I define where they will be restored to? I'd like to move them to Internal Storage and no longer have them on main memory. btw I'm using PowerSMS to backup and restore text messages.

PS - Anyone know exactly where they're saved on the main mem? I'd like to try and figure out how much room they're using just out of curiosity.

Quoting my own question in hopes that someone can tell me how to switch text message storage from main memory to internal storage after restoring text messages. I can't flash 4.6 unless I have a solution for this.

Thanks in advance.

I though it was just because I was still tweaking and doing a lot of data, but today I didn't do much of either and my battery still dropped quickly.

This has nothing to do with the rom guys.

The rom doesn't just morph into a battery drainer after some time.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear.
It's been draining quickly since I flashed 4.6. But I hadn't thought that it was abnormal because I was doing a lot of CPU & radio intensive work. Today, I didn't do that much with it, but it still drained quickly.
I didn't mean to say that it had been efficient and then suddenly wasn't.

I still love it- no plans to switch until the next version is released. I just know that I need to keep it on the charger whenever possible.

Hey guys, I've got an open fun activity for some people to participate in.

I'm looking to get a new MightyROM splash screen for all upcoming releases.

I could always make one myself, although sometimes others have unique ideas that are much better than my own.

So here we go for the photoshopers out there!

New MightyROM Splash Screen Contest

I will require TWO new splash screens.

1. MightyROM Standard Edition
2. MightyROM Business Edition

Criteria:
Simplistic, No MightyMouse Logo, very creative. Something similar to the windows mobile 6.1 startup image. Design factor similar to touchpro 2 & diamond 2 advertisements (font, colorts, etc) Windows mobile 6.5 ideas (the way it looks, etc)

Submit your creations here.

Keep in mind, I am VERY picky  It doesn't mean I will pick the splash screen, although I am VERY interested in seeing your creations.

Make me happy

These startup images will be used for the new MightyROM5  Thought i'd mention that

p.s 640x480 rez obviously!
Here is the first submission

Just a thought here, but could it be that with all the flashing and tweaking and using and charging and whatever, the batteries are just beginning to show some wear that would manifest in shorter overall battery life? Especially when you say, "I didn't mean to say that it had been efficient and then suddenly wasn't." This sounds like a normal (albeit accelerated because of what we ROM freaks put our phones through) aging process.

Quite possible. I'm only making an observation based on my experience. There is not any conclusive evidence that it must be because of the ROM.
I can say that the software is all the same (albeit updated versions of S2U2 and others), so it's unlikely that is the cause.
Heck, it could be the change in temperature here in FL. Or maybe my dog finds my phone intriguing and is making calls on her own. Or someone put a virus on the boot sector... I think I need to go to sleep.

I'm not trying to blame or be derogatory in any way. I just wanted to make an observation that I thought might be helpful- at least to some of the others that are experiencing the same thing.

LOL...bad dog!! Please understand that my remarks were also not meant to be derogatory towards you or any user for that matter. I think that we (me included) sometimes just get so wrapped up in our custom ROMs and what we can do with them that we lose sight of what we started with (the stock ROM) and what might be "normal" phone behavior.

Bottom line: we have all gotten so spoiled by Mike's outstanding ROMs that we tend to forget that some function that only works at 90 percent of what we think it should probably works 200 percent better than it did in the stock ROM.

Ok... I have a semi-related question to people out there. Has anyone experienced issues with the FlipIt app (with SDCerts and Manila Landscape apps) and problems connecting to their exchange server?

I know there are fixes posted in this thread but i went through them and it didnt work. I all of a sudden just stop getting emails and cant sync anymore. Nothing I do fixes it other than re-installing the ROM. Fortunately i'm not emotionally attached to any of the Cabs I have.... So if you know please post.

Question #2: is there anyway to get the executables from cabs that are installed in my Internal Storage to show up in the Application list?

Thx in advance.
(I haven't missed any naughty pictures have I?
