TomTom Navigator 7 is available at XDA-Developers. Where I on the site I cannot say. There are other places to get it, those places I cannot tell you either. Maps can be purchased at TomTom.com. Not sure what they cost exactly but they're not cheap.

Garmin Mobile XT can be downloaded at Garmin.com. Not sure how much it costs and I know maps aren't cheap.

I have had a good experience so far with battery life. It's no extended battery life but it is definitely better than it was shipped.

Didn't even think of that. I will be adding that along with Start Clean in V2.0
