i'm enjoying it as well. i like that it kept the sprint focus and didn't gear towards gsm version, personally.

Great job. Seems to be solid. Keeps the Sprint features, but with way lower memory usage, huge speed improvements, and dramatically improved battery life. I love it! My only issue is the context menus are small. Is there a fix for this?

Re: [9.27.2008]WindSprint Beta .76 [CE OS 5.2.20755] [Opera 9.5.2392]
I like this ROM better than Juicy 2.2. After using this phone off and on since 9am this morning, I am still at 56% battery life (that's what the meter says, but the bar levels are around 60%). That is almost double what I was getting on the Sprint ROM, and all my apps / games load very quickly. The only major quirk is with my time not being correct, and with Opera crashing sometimes (I think it's related to flash).

I'm working on fixing a few things and trying to get the 3.8 camera from the Raphael to work correctly. I used the phone today a bunch and managed to crash it using my latest released rom. It might have been the heat from being in direct sunlight at Arrowwhead Stadium though. I'll also note the contest menu fix.

Re: [9.27.2008]WindSprint Beta .76 [CE OS 5.2.20755] [Opera 9.5.2392]
Oh, and I've got jury duty tomorrow and I'll bring my laptop along, but I'm not sure if I will be able to use it. I want to build the ROMs tonight, but I'm afraid there are just too many changes for me to test it out tonight and I don't want to break my ROM and end up getting adamant about fixing it tonight.
I've been doing a few little projects that I will later add into the ROM which might bring some more battery life and performance enhancements, but they are pretty painstaking, so I'm keeping those out of the ROM until they are complete. Most noteworthy is porting the Sprint TF3D theme to the latest manilla build I can get my hands on and the other is creating a base for GF and TC's kitchen made from the stock Sprint ROM. It may not do much in terms of performance or battery, but it may bring more stability in the form of Sprint-specific application and network compatibility. |
