Re: [09/20/08] Juicy ROM 2.0 [TELUS & SPRINT]

you should never restore a back up from an old rom to a new rom it causes many issues.

back up your contacts and personal data and then reinstall your apps.

When you put the phone in standby the screen goes black, but the backlight doesn't turn off. It's quite hard to see but in a very dark room, but even after closing down all running program I cannot get the backlight to turn off (although it looks like it since the screen is pure black). This I believe has been my source of very poor battery life. The only way to fix it is to turn the phone off and then reboot. - a pain in the a**
this is odd. i have never had this happen to me. any one els?

an application you have installed could be preventing the device from entering a sleep state. even if its not in the task manager it could still be running.

what apps do you have installed.

actually, i was never able to install a backup from another rom. It'll say something like "this backup was not made for this rom. You cannot install it"

ive never had that error. Sprite allows you to restore. and then it just overwrites the new rom with the old one and partial settings / files. and then you get issues lol

Re: [09/20/08] Juicy ROM 2.0 [TELUS & SPRINT]

Since I've been installing all of Juicy's versions, I've given up installing software till I get a real stable Rom (good battery life and responsive).

And after I install a new Rom I always execute 'clear storage' to make sure nothing is left over from the old Rom.

Were as I've notice before that VIIGO (sometimes) won't allow it to go to sleep when charging. It will just go to standby for a few seconds and then turn on to full brightness.

So as for the the backlight not turning off when in Stand-by this is with just Juicy's Rom Version 2.0, and the only apps that were running were Opera and ActiveSync. Even after killing both, it still woulnd't turn of the backlight.

Re: [09/20/08] Juicy ROM 2.0 [TELUS & SPRINT]

I think I've found another bug in the 2.0 Rom on a Sprint Diamond. Need someone else to confirm, but if you use the camera, take a picture and then try to save the picture to a contact, after it assigns the picture it will automatically jump to some other portion of the phone. For example, I've had it automatically jump to the ringer settings and the screen calibration app. Someone please confirm they get this behavior, as well.

Thanks!
Wayne

Re: [09/20/08] Juicy ROM 2.0 [TELUS & SPRINT]

this is really unacceptable. BATTERY LIFE SUCKS ON 2.0. i went at 12pm to open a new account on a bank, while waiting with battery life at 85%, starting texting a few of my friends (no calling, no data) 1 hour later (1pm) came back to work battery life at 30%. no (GPS, DATA, CALLING) this happen after update to 2.0 (1.1 did not give me this battery drain) might go go back to sprint stock rom if things are going this way.
