The radio in Juicy 2 (and 1.1) drops calls on Sprint like crazy. I get very few bars in areas where reception was better. The original Sprint Rom seemed to work better IMHO for reception. It was the slow TOuchflo3d that made me flash the rom.

IGuidance 4 works great in VGA. Smooth response, works with the Diamond GPS with not futzing. 1.2 GB (USA/Canada) map fits in internal storage. Great Text to Speech (very clear directions). http://www.inavcorp.com/product/navi...idance_ppc.php

Is this a program similar to TOMTOM, is there a trial version, do you have to buy maps.

yes, also using iguidance 4 for a while and it doens't have the problem like the touch in which we were force to use gpsgate to route gps signal to COM2. VGA version look amazing, i love iguidance because of it's easy interface, one big map in 1.2gb (including all voices and maps) and is the only navigation software for pda that i have try which tells Street names (very clearly) also which lane to stay (left-right). the voice and street names are so clear that i don't even have to look at the screen, only follow the voice instructions.

Juicy47 i know people are waiting for Sprint rom (i'm one of them) but why release a 2.0 version of the rom if you can hold the release and implement all the updates to release it has 2.1.

There is no radio in Juicy's ROM, only the OS.

That's what he is doing. From what I know at least.

Re: [09/20/08] Juicy ROM 2.0 [TELUS & SPRINT]

I haven't seen this mentioned before, but it's happened to me at least a couple of times, and not only in ver. 2.0.

When you put the phone in standby the screen goes black, but the backlight doesn't turn off. It's quite hard to see but in a very dark room, but even after closing down all running program I cannot get the backlight to turn off (although it looks like it since the screen is pure black). This I believe has been my source of very poor battery life. The only way to fix it is to turn the phone off and then reboot. - a pain in the a**
