I was really looking forward to a second today screen, but I just don't like how it functions, and don't want to impose it on the other users.

No, it's all good. SecondToday is in alpha stages anyway. Might take another month before there's a stable release. I think I can wait for now or maybe install it myself.

A new flash today.. I'm going to go shopping and be back soon, hopefully by then we'll have 1.09 out and we can flash.

Just go into settings, "Buttons" and change the shortcut to use voice command

FYI though, there is nothing more pleasing than typing a text message in landscape :)
