CacheTime from 600 to 60?, (from thetouchblog.com) its to make the battery last much longer.

Nope, just a quick starting point, but i can. If you get the kitchen, you will see a registry tweaks oem folder. Battery tweaks are in there

Will this ROM enable you to use Third Party GPS software such as Live Search or Google Maps. Currently only Telus Nav seems to work, aaaaagggggggggggghhhhhh ](*,) on my Diamond :protest: Please tell me that this ROM Addressed that issue. And will the process be the same as it was for the Touch and the Titan. Thanks for yor help guys :headbang:

do you need it to be in unlocked mode to put this rom on it?

or do you let it boot up normally and then click the exe and let it run?

this rom is only 30mb ?

I'm such a noob when it comes to rom flashing because i had an s640 which hasn't had any roms, so i've never done it before.

The 1.00 rom is 80mb, this 1.01 rom is 30 mb?

you post above says "will be filled in soon" i'm guessing you mean an explanation of what was done?

if so that's cool i'll wait for an answer

my telus device had this set to 60 stock.

i didn't change it nor did i install anything that would have.

gps works with 3rd party apps out of the box, just go outside and wait a couple of minute for the first lock.

The registry hacks will be in the next rom, but you still have to do the QPST ones.

I'm not aware of a .cab of the VGA (Diamond version) of QuickGPS. Suffice to say, if you flash something made with ghetto's kitchen or my ROM (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36083) will not be disappointed in the GPS performance.

Yeah....I apperciate all the work you guys have already put into these ROMS and the necessary tools. I have done a lot of tweaks to my device and I just don't have the time at the moment to redo everything for a week or two, so I was hoping for a .cab that worked on the Diamond for quickGPS, to hold me over. :)

I keep seeing mentions of Kitchens, but only ROMs are posted.
The PPCGeeks Kitchen doesn't have a Diamond option... unless I'm missing something.
Is there a Kitchen available for the Diamond, or are there just the [2] ROMs?

Thanks- so the follow-up to this question...
Will this kitchen be incorporated into the newest PPCGeeks kitchen? This one looks like the one we used for the old WM5 AKU3.5 ROMs. Not complaining, of course, just want to know what to expect.

Hey Ghetto, in GPS Tool the Baudrate is set to 57600, should it be 4800, like in External GPS/Hardware. Just tried the GPS it worked right away. It was the ROM that i was using that was causing the GPS not to work . Thanks for taking the time to walk me through it.
