Hi everyone
Its my first time flashing and had some questions. I have a diamond with bell canada and therefore its CDMA. Now I was wondering if it is safe for me to use SPL 0.57 and if I need to unlock this device before doing so? Also which radio should I use? Any help is much appreciated!

This package is for unlocking your device. After you run this you will then choose the ROM that you want to use. I know in reading that this does not work on Verizon so I am not 100 percent sure it will work for Bell.

I am not sure which radio you would use.

I did not unlocked my phone yet but I talked to a guy that has a Bell DIamond and he said he did not had issues with the SPL 0.57.

As for the radio, I don't know yet!

Ok so last night I downloaded Diamon Unlocker and everything went smooth.
My phone is now unlocked. After that I downloaded SPL 0.57 and tried to do
that and my PC crashed. I extracted the spl 0.57 to a folder on my desktop ran it and it prompted me to connect my device so i did. After that my screen on my laptop flashed blue and restarted. Later it said system recovered from a serious error. Anyone know what happened? My phone is still ok.

p.s Bootloader is showing
DIAM 500
SPL-057 CMONEX
MicroP-Diam (LED) vB
PSOC_DIAM Stage EVT v20

Does this mean I can go ahead and flash a radio and after that the Rom of my choosing???
Also is using a diamond unlocker same as installing HARDSPL. IF you do one do you do the other.
Sorry big time noob and the whole thing is a bit confusing!

Today I tried to install HARDSPL 0.57 again and this time I am getting an error and its not letting me do it.
I am getting error 284 UPDATE ERROR -Communications error. So for some reason its droping a connection between
the laptop and my cellphone.

Nevermind I figured it out.
Go to setting connections pick the connection with your phone and uncheck the two boxes in that first screen and retry.
