My contract is over. Leave sprint for t-mob?
Ok, will someone please talk me out of leaving sprint for t-mobile? Its been a long 2 years. Today is Friday October 30, 2009 my contract with sprint is over in 2 days on November 1, 2009.
W/ sprint I get 900 mins, unlimted everything else (ie. pic mail, web, text etc.) for 89.99/mo plus since i work at a big bank i get 20% off of my bill each month. w/ t-mobile I can get the new unlimited plan that has unlimted everything for 79.99 i checked the coverage map and it says i would get full strength coverage at my house and my job. (not sure if i can get discount for my job) link to tmob unlimited plan -----> http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/C...t.ac=0346HOM01 The problem is, (and take this the wrong way) whenever I find out someone has t-mobile the first thing that pops into my head is that they have bad credit or they are a kid and wanted a sidekick. I dont ever wanna have to answer T-Mobile when someone asks me who my carrier is. On top of that the T-mobile version of the HTC Touch Pro is just plain ugly! Why they chose those colors is beyond me! My contract is up in 2 days will someone please talk me out of switching to t-mobile?????? |

Re: My contract is over. Leave sprint for t-mob?
T-Mo "voice" coverage is more less the same to the other carriers.....but the questions is are you a data junkie..as in internet..etc.....cause there is where the issue lies.....the "3g coverage" is very limited compared to the sprint/verizon.
For me it is all about data/speed coverage 1st/voice 2nd, and where I live sprint/verizon has the best 3g coverage. T-MO unlimited 80+/-10 for taxes=90 yours Sprint 900 everything 90+/-10 for taxes=100 or Sprint 450 everything 70+/-10 for taxes=80 Do you need the 900 why dont you go down to 450, now if you make more then 450min landline calls then I can understand, but you can get the pick3 use gvo for one of those numbers and use that for landline calls. Now with the "AnyMobile Anytime" heck I am lucky to break 100min on landlines if that. Alot of my friends jumped ship from the Sprint Unlimited Everything and went to the 450 Everything Data just because of the intro "AnyMobile Anytime" now saving about 30/month.

Re: My contract is over. Leave sprint for t-mob?
Like you said I heard that sprint will be making me all kinds of offers to get back on contract so I can only hope so. I have been with them 4 years now and i have never ever been 1 second late on any of my bills but at the same time i dont take any crap... Whenever I noticed anything wrong I called them and stayed on them until it was fixed. I just hope they dont view me as problem customer for all the arguments I got into with them over the past 4 years. (not to mention the fight I almost got into with the manager at one of the sprint stores when he acted like it was ok that one of his employees flat out lied to me and didnt care that i wasnt going to be able to get my sero back...
im headed to the mall right now to check the att version of the tp2 out (never actually held it in my hands) |

Re: My contract is over. Leave sprint for t-mob?
i would check and see if they give you a discount, if not, the 20% from sprint on a everything plan is the same price as theirs 99-20. depending on what you want i would call and talk to retentions, you may get a great deal on a phone, or perhaps maybee they can give you a couple bucks more a month off
