Re: Is it worth 2 early termination fees to switch to sprint? Reallyneedsomegoodadvic
I guess plan-wise it's obvious to go w/Sprint. BUT, we would have to come up with a large sum of money at once to be able to pay the ETFs and new phones since we'll have to pay upfront then wait on rebates. With Verizon we'll be adding about $40 a month, less minutes, but cheap BB's...

I have had sprint for 2 years, have usually had good customer service, ofcoarse there is always a bad apple. one good thing is if there is a mistake on your bill,it is no prob. to get a credit. plus their plans are much cheaper. i have a 1500 min share plan with unlim. to any mobile(new) unlimited data, sprint nav, sprint tv, sprint music picture mail and text. plan is 119.00 for 2 lines . i added a third for 20.00. plus many people are eligle for a discount. example I get 18% off bill and 30 % off phones and acc.hope that helps. also in places where sprint service is spotty, they roam on alltells network.

Re: Is it worth 2 early termination fees to switch to sprint? That's a good chunka cha
40.00 per month doesnt seem too bad to me IF you get better service. If the coverage in your area and the areas you regularly visit is about the same with both carriers though, it would only take you 10 months to make back the money from the ETF's and then start going positive. So my recommendation would be : If you get better service and coverage with VZN and don't mind paying for it, stick with VZN, but if the coverage is the same in your area with Sprint it doesnt make much sense to not save the 40.00 per month. How much time is left on your contract?

If he can continue to keep the Alltel price on his plan maybe you should switch to Sprint since your contract is the shortest, and leave his on alltel/VZN.

You do have a couple of options. as mentioned before with sprints pricing you could make up your ETF in about 10 months or so then your golden but coverage will be your number 1 priority. second will be Customer Service(phone support for both companies have improved and will be almost tied depending on the reps you speak with). third will be plan selection and Last should be phone selection(which people will want some other phonelater or both carriers have the same phones.) If your worried about upgrading as I said in another thread your upgrade date can be moved especially at this time of year since Verizon wants to convert as many alltel customers to verizon phones and plans as possible. If you have issues with this then send me a PM. Last edited by ca2l3vin; 10-13-2009 at 04:00 AM. |

Too bad Verizon doesn't offer discounts like Sprint. I would stay for sure if they did.
I would suggest unless you can sweet talk them into some kind of deal for a discount wait 7 months then switch to Sprint. But be sure you get good Sprint coverage where you live first. |

Freaking lol. I'm not sure yet. If Sprint rolls out some cool phones and Verizon doesn't offer a similar priced discount I'm probably gonna move for sure.
