Two different plans....and the old Sero is more restrictive.

With the old Sero plan Sprint has said (from a web transcript I had recently):

There are a few phones you would not be able to swap on this (Sero) line including both versions of the Samsung Instinct, the Palm Pre and Nextel Blackberry.

I have read here, Slickdeals and other places that Sprint will not apply Corp. discounts to the old Sero plans because they are already extremely cheap.

With the new Everything Plus Employee Referral plan it appears all Sprint phones released up to this date appear to be available when you go to the "select phones" page.

As mentioned in a million threads (now merged) the TP2 can be used on the old Sero plan.

Yes the Pre and Instinct wont work on the old Sero, but the Touch Pro 1 came out after the Instinct and worked on the old Seros.

It depends on phone so yeah I dont know if you are trying to tell me info that I already knew of.
