Sprint may cancel my service due to too much roaming

I just got a letter from Sprint saying I am violating their roaming agreement and they are going to be monitoring my account for possible termination. This is outrageous! I was going to cancel anyway because data speeds are horrible where I live and now because my signal is horrible inside of buildings I'm being penalized. I guess verizon will have a new customer soon. Has anyone else had this issue?

You can log into your sprint account and see exactly how much roaming data your using. I think if you consistently use over 300mb roaming data they can do this (terms of service.)

Sounds like you need to find a nice area where your phone goes into roaming and rack up some serious data usage! No etf, problem solved!

Re: Sprint may cancel my service due to too much roaming

Tomorrow will be yet another checkpoint call and hopefully the last as I didn't pay my bill because of all this and I have a simple mobile SIM card on the way in the mail. Simple mobile is a prepaid company that uses the T-mobile network and offers $40 unlimited everything. Any GSM phone with 1700mhz bands can be used.

Let us know how the service is. My brother is looking into simple mobile, boost, and virgin. I told him simple mobile$40 plan looks the best, considering the speeds.

But yeah, as soon as you port out your sprint number, the account is cancelled, you pay etfs.
