Question about Verizon unlimited plan and changing phones

I have a question, the verizon unlimited data plan, I know its grandfathered in but lets say that line has a none 4g phone on it.

If a phone is bought on ebay that has 4g and activated, the plan will still remain unlimited and it will have 4g access..correct?

I am guessing the answer to this is yes, but I just want to be 100% sure..cause don't want to ebay a phone for nothing..

Yes it only goes away if you renew or change your contract.

trust me as ive already swapped out phones 3 times on verizon.

What about doing things like swapping phone numbers from another carrier and changing the minutes? applying corporate discounts? will that effect it?

applying discounts won't effect it but changing your minutes or phone numbers probably will.

would customer service know the specifics or its one of those things like sero where customer service says one thing, you do the change and they are like "oops nothing can be done anymore"

I heard from a Verizon rep that you do not lose your unlimited data when changing contract as long as you stay with a smartphone (don't buy a flip phone and expect to have unlimited data when you come back) or if you leave verizon then come back.

Can anyone confirm 100% that when you sign a new contract with Verizon that you lose your unlimited data ?????

I guess I'll be buying off contract phones from this point...

If your on verizon, you could always dial *611 and find out BUT, write down their name just incase you get someone with a case of the moron factor.

when your contract is up and you renew you will loose unlimited data.
