Will Sprint now go after T-Mo?

US government files to block proposed AT&T / T-Mobile merger (update: AT&T responds!) - Engadget

With AT&T betting blocked, do you think Sprint will now try its luck an go after T-Mo? Just wondering since they were so upfront an leading the pack in getting this deal stopped.

I know this thread will be moved but the story hasn't been posted on site yet so i was just wondering what are everyone's thought.

Re: Will Sprint now go after T-Mo?

This seems to me to be an appropriate place.

I would like to see Sprint do so. They could continue to support both networks, and with a move to LTE, build compatibility on a future basis. I can see some challenges if they do buy T-Mobile, but being #3 can have its advantages; I doubt the DOJ would have issues with it the way they do with AT&T.

Re: Will Sprint now go after T-Mo?

Sprint merging with t-mobile would not work out..it would be another sprint/nextel disaster...and sprint doesn't really have the capital for it..

Sprint has nothing to gain from t-mobile and t-mobile has nothing to gain from sprint..

apple on the other hand.....
i think apple should buy tmobile so they can give iphone users a true end to end experience. tmo could exclusively sell iphones, leave all the good android handsets to the other carriers. if all the big networks(ie att and vzw) saw a mass exodus of customers to go to a service provided by apple, prices would prolly go down across the board.

But again it doesn't work out..t-mobile's coverage is not the best so it won't offer any benefits...

if anything apple is better off buying lightsquared..then they can give 4g access to all iphones regardless of carrier or location...

no sprint won't. t-mobile needs to stay it's own entity.
