i pay less for tmobile than sprint, sans the tv and navi sprint includes. but netflix and the maps app take care of that. as long as people are willing to keep paying the fee (and gladly i might add), it won't disappear. but sprint made me disappear...9 more days and goodbye to the 3rd largest carrier thats hurting for customers and trying to keep people from jumping ship....real smart business tatic. |
Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES
i dont justify or defend the fee, but if sprints 3 options are to go down with the ship, give the ship away, or try to repair the ship, im onboard for the last.

Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES
after reading 18 pages over @ spritusers it sounds like the fee does not affect sero in any way which is nice. Also (while unconfirmed) it doesn't sound like it will affect legacy plans either.
not sure why anyone on a full everything plan would have anything less than the latest considering premier status but at least you can keep your current rate until your phone dies. i'm sure people will be getting out of the data fee anyway as long as they are out of contract. this does make me wonder about 2/7. i was pretty much convinced it was a big wp7 launch w/some new unannounced phones but it has to be bigger then that to offset the new fee. i can only hope sprint comes out with a nice line up like vzw now that we are paying premium prices. revb would also make me VERY happy. lol. |
Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES
but where will it end? what are you willing to pay when the next speed comes out? sprint tested this with the evo and epic people, they still bought the phones, now it's all smartphones. next, it'll be the entire line-up. the only way to combat this is not upgrade or cancel. sprint is going to lose people anyways when the iphone goes to verizon, now they want to push the remaining people out.

Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES
Sprint now sucks lol, they will lose my $70 bucks and my hd7 pulls 18-21 mbps regularly without the extra fee!

Wait, you just said your hd7 isn't hdspa+ only 3g. So how does it pull 18-21 mbps? Did T-Mo hire David Blain as well? Sent from my Epic 3G on SERO. |
