thanks bro! i love how first it was the speed of t-mobile....i showed the speeds...now, it's not cheaper than sprint....i can't win lol. the only way to beat sprint at their game is not upgrade or leave..but most folks don't question authority, they just take it :angry7:.

Yeah. I just got off the phone with Sprint. I left the call with the matter still unresolved, in fact I'm more pissed of now. I was offered that I could switch to a dumbphone to avoid the charge, but all that did was infuriate me even more. The $10 added puts them right up there with all the other carriers that CAN give me better service in my area.

I updated my link...

Also, check T-Mobiles website. Several plans are cheaper than Sprint's. I made a spreadsheet last night comparing all of the big 4 carriers individual, 2 line family, and 4 line family plans. T-Mobile was either the same or cheaper than Sprint on every single plan (if you factor in the $10 per line fee). And these are the ones on the website, with a contract and device subsidy.

T-mobile vs sprint again, lol who cares..

Its all bout location.. where i live sprint is the fastest.. t-mobile roams. to att..

T-mobile is good if your in a good location. same for every other carrier..

that being said.. i say to hell with them all.lol its not worth it anymore to pay more than 50 bucks a month for a smartphone etc.

I went to virgin mobile and pay 27 bucks a month,, ( ya crappy intercept ) til sprint decides to screw that plan up,.lol but way cheaper.. 2,040 est on the 450 everything plan vs 648 per 2 years on virgin,. lol way worth it..

this 10 bucks extra will ad up quickly on a family plan.. thats an extra 720 bucks over the 2 year life of a 3 smartphone family plan, lol

Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES

you're 100% correct. all i said was i wasn't paying extra, i then became the anti-sprint. what i've gathered behind all the rhetoric is the epic and evo people being happy that now everyone with a smartphone will be paying what they are, hence the venom when you speak bad about sprint. none of these carriers cares about the person, just the wallet. there are plenty of choices besides the big 4, people need to stop thinking with their hearts and start thinking with their wallets!

I didn't even get that. I asked what Sprint was going to do as incentive to stay, and was told "there is nothing we can do". Poor customer support. Funny, 3 years ago when I threatened to leave I got $150 credit. This time, nothing. I will be checking out T-mobile, thanks for the tip. They have a great selection of android phones anyway. I really like the G2 and the Defy.

i said the same, sprint didn't care for my business anymore...they countered with "well what can we do?" i said "drop the $10 fee because no one will charge me for that if i leave after 11 years." they said "your account has been canceled." they would rather lose my $70/month over $10, i hope sprint takes a bath with this one.

btw, here's the sprint premier being reworked thread http://community.sprint.com/baw/thre...2A35.app4jive2

guitardoc64 01-19-2011 05:15 PM

Exactly. They're going to lose my $179 for 3 lines over $10. I have been referred to "higher levels" and am waiting on a callback. I really doubt anything will come of it.
