probably so. most companies apply it to new lines and upgrades, not exsisting plans but who can predict what decisions they will make? :( Just hope for the best!!!

yes I will feel old being 'grandfathered' in. But will be all just as happy as long as the donot screw with my plan

If that worked and I didnt get lag I would have gotten rid of my internet lol. 3G is laggy when I tether to my PS3 for online play and honestly I dont expect it to not lag even with 4G. Me and my wife can both tether now so really we dont need home internet. However, like I said I expect even on 4G ill get lag.

Currently I am using 1.5-2GB's a month with the phone. Not sure how much data I use with my home internet. I dont download movies or songs so its really just, internet gaming and forum surfing.

I've noticed high ping when using my Evo as a hotspot (3G and 4G) so you'll be at a disadvantage on data intensive online games. If you want to be a LPB, it's probably best to stick with cable or fo.

My g/f just showed me online where Verizon announced the end of unlimited data and is now gonna offer the same tiered data plan as AT&Terrible.

I just read the news about Verizon and looks to be worst than Sprint. Looks like Verizon will implement tiered data plans in the next 4-6 months. So, really there's no where to run. It's a losing battle for us consumers and in the end we will continue to complain, but eventually end up paying.

Re: Sprint considering a move to tiered data plans

Why? They applied the new Corporate Discount policy to existing plans without "grandfathering" anybody in. I wouldn't count on not getting hit with the cap if you are an existing customer.

As far as the cap goes, I think it stinks for us who pay for "premium data". But on the other hand, we have people right here in another thread about this who admit to using 250-300 gb a month. Those are the people who need a cap, or at least common sense. It's a phone.
