You have to be eligible and use the 2 yr $150 upgrade to receive the $100 mail in rebate. So yeah, you are probably (99%) not gonna get the rebate.

Also T/S, I do feel it takes rebates too long but remember they have to at least wait until the 30 exchange/return period is up before even processing the rebate so that is 4 weeks right there.

From my old Mogul to TP tp TP2 they all got messed up. Denied, wrong address and wrong name on check. I did get all the money just called Sprint and they credited my account. With Evo they took it off phone at sell something new about being a business customer.

The longer they can hold the cash the more interest they can earn from it.

Damn you, OMJ. Mine was received the day before yours and they still say it hasn't even been mailed out yet! Although, it was approved. Lucky dog. ;) And yes, I was a launch day kid.

Even AFTER I called them to correct it on Friday, it STILL showed as denied (apparently, it takes TWO WEEKS for it to update online although they claim that that has nothing to do with processing the rebate). I called them back this morning and even though I corrected my address (even though it was their damn fault that they entered it wrong), they still had the incorrect zip code.

What amazed me was that the minute the rebate CSR opened my record she could SEE that the zip code was wrong given that they actually DO link to your account.

I think they hire blind one-armed fingerless capuchin monkeys to enter the information from the rebate forms so that they can then enter the information incorrectly and then deny the claims.

I had published the phone number to the rebate center in my original post. My suggestion, call them and argue why they denied it. Betcha' they screwed up.

When I bought my Mogul, my rebate was denied because of a wrong address. so to correct it, Sprint gave me a credit of $100 instantly, saying the rebates come from another company, and who knows how long it would take for them to fix my address after Sprint contacted them.

And thank goodness they did, because it took a little over 4 months to finally receive my rebate, AFTER the 4 weeks I waited until I saw it denied.

That would be correct. Now mind you this was a couple years ago, everyone had a little more money to throw around. Sprint's always taken very good care of me.

If its Denied, just call the number previously posted and ask about it. When you get the info they MAY reinstate it, if not then call Sprint themselves and ask for your account to be credited the rebate. Be nice and just explain that you really thought you were getting a rebate and how you're a loyal customer and could they make an exception and go ahead and credit your account for the rebate.

Never hurts to ask nicely!

This is true.

i was denied, reason:you received all applicable discounts at time of purchase.(i only used my 75 dollar upgrade). However I also CHANGED MY PLAN from a retention plan to a family share plan. so I sent a written request via the rebate page and they responded with an apology and sent my rebate out to me. I also called into retentions at the same time i sent the written request, they applied a 50 dollar credit stating since i only upgraded i was not eligible. I didn't bother arguing the plan change with them since i had a feeling the rebate would get approved. hello 150 rebate....:)

If you used your upgrade to get the evo but were forced to change your plan, you should follow through if your rebate was declined. a new device along with a new 2 year agreement AND A PLAN CHANGE should = rebate eligible.
