yuppers saw this, as mentioned earlier in this thread we have had in grand rapids for a couple weeeks but now it is all over he city instead of in certain places!

I live in Brooklyn, NY. I was just in Manhattan about an hour ago and got a fair signal of 4G at the 58th Street and Lexington. The signal didn't last long, though. So I wasn't able to try out the blazing fast speeds.


The other day I was also able to get a poor 4G signal in my area of Brownsville, Brooklyn. And today I was also able to get 4G here, but that only lasted for a split second. It came and went so fast that I didn't even have enough time to react. All this recent events of spotty 4G should mean NYC is to be getting coverage real soon, right? Anyone know of anywhere in Manhattan that get's a stable 4G signal?

now if they can just push it towards sacramento, calif. onwards to the bay area in the next few months......

i know...doesn't that suck? and currently, the coverage is only over at Merced and another place next to it. you kinda figured they would roll it out in the bay area or LA county first.

Is it just me or did the 4G coverage in STL dramatically decrease? I'm constantly getting 1800~ kbps right after I upgraded to Fresh 3. When I was on Fresh 2 I was getting a consistent 5500~ kbps. Is this just a coincidence or did I do something wrong? I cleared all the caches, flashed the current radio and wimax one too.

Flash back to Fresh 2 and see if it changes...if it goes back to the 5500~ kbps then you know it has something to do with the Wimax (4G) file in the Fresh 3 ROM. If the speeds stay the same as Fresh 3 did...then most likley Sprint is doing maintianence on the towers in your area...or is having some issues. Give it a day or two and see what happens.

I was out in STL a the weekend before last, the towers suck. both 3g and 4g were crazy slow compared to chicagoland. (with fresh I hit 10.45 up here and was lucky to hit 5 down in stl) even with full bars half the time the 3g wouldn't even work.
