Well, if it makes you feel any better, I get about 3.4mb/s 4g (1.4mb/s 3g) on average in Dallas (Actually saw 2.2mbps 3g today)....
Speeds depend on many factors including signal strength and network saturation....

Re: All 4G Discussion Regarding Cities and Availability go here

I live in St. Louis, MO. I have no idea if/when we are supposed to get 4g, but I got a slight signal at work out in Florissant. Florissant is right next to the Illinois border, but VERY FAR FROM CHI-TOWN. At least 3 hours drive from here.

Anyone heard anything about STL?

Re: All 4G Discussion Regarding Cities and Availability go here

Merced, CA is online. I live 16mi south of Merced and get a signal in my town center; however, I only get a spotty signal upstairs in my home and it is not reliable.

Test showed just over 3Mbps down and about 1Mbps up. Not bad.

Re: All 4G Discussion Regarding Cities and Availability go here

Hit a personal best for both 3 and 4g a couple days ago in Arlington, Va. My best readings all take place in one particular area in Arlington....the area know as "Ballston Common". Got 5.6mb download off of 4g. I was outside for this reading and it was early in the morning(around 7 am). There is a subway stop in this area. While in the subway station, underground, I got 2.4mb download off of 3g. This was not roaming, but was in fact Sprint signal.

I'd say-unscientifically-that my 4g readings tend to average just under 3mb to just over 4mb....but for me 4g is not really reliable yet. My area is not "officially" lit up for 4 g so sometimes I get absolutely no readings for 4g in some of the areas I have gotten some coverage. I imagine maybe they're testing signal and perhaps 4g isnt always available in areas not officially announced.

I would have posted pics of my speedtest.net results but since I lost my root with the last update, my shoot me app no longer works.
