I don't have EvDo at home anyway so no big deal. Mine works for about half a block around my house. I considered going around and asking the neighbors if they have Sprint to see if "I" improved their signal. The one thing that I don't like is that I drop calls if I get home or leave, can't remember which one it is. lol

I just received one, but will have to wait until I return to the US to try it out. The model they shipped out stated it was the Airave Plus by Samsung, but I thought the new model was manufactured by a different company. It is just too bad the Airave requires a GPS signal because otherwise it would be ideal for sending and receiving texts from abroad. Oh well, it was free with the monthly fee waived.

I spend my time taking these PIC's, no "Thanks" or even comments/questions/requests (which I prefer)!!! (each pic has been grabbed over 20 times...)

Just a note here, it appears that the new Airvana does NOT SUPPORT location based services (or its broken, Airave support at sprint has no clue and wont investigate)...

what this basically means is that if you have a WinMo (only one I tested) device with the HTC Sense interface, go to the weather tab, and hit update weather, IT WILL NOT WORK!!!



If you have the new Airvana and use Sense Weather (aGPS I believe) please call Sprint and ask to speak to the Airave support department to make a ticket of this issue (call and complain basically) ,

Otherwise +3G -aGPS (all location services that DONT get an ACTUAL GPS lock or use 3G not WiFi WONT WORK!!!)
