Sprint ESN swap- I have to chat with a rep? wha...? - Page 2

hopefully someone can answer this so I won't have to start a new thread

so I lost my Sprint mogul and got a touch diamond through Assurion.
I've recently found my mogul and my brother wants to use it on his Sprint acct.

can he just call up Sprint and activate the mogul's ESN or is the mogul dead now since i told Assurion that I lost the phone???

its black listed in the system cant be activated on sprint ever again

I believe there are two things you can do, one is keep your agreement with Assurion, you agreed to return the phone if it was ever found, that's going to be your best bet

Or

You can call Assurion and let them know you found the phone and would like to know what you can do in order to keep it and re-activate the phone.

Most likely as mentioned above, the ESN has been reported as bad in Sprints data base

they will just tell him to send the new one back lol so either he keeps hte new one and cant use the old one or send back the new one and have the old one

Go online to his Sprint account and select Activate new phone. Enter the ESN and see if it lets you activate it. I activated my Touch Pro2 last week that a friend had lost and then later found!

Back to the OP question. When you said you were trying to activate the lotus, where you by chance going from a blackberry? I know that whenever I want to activate a blackberry on my line I have to either chat, or call in, since they have to change the plan options. Other than that I never have had to call in or anything.
